Team ICON’s first competition of the year was a biggie. For the first time, Team ICON travelled with 27 ICON Taekwon-Do competitors to Mechelen, Belgium for the renowned Flander’s Fields Open European Championships. 🇧🇪
And what a trip it was…
🥇 Our first ever champion FELICITY KIDD - Gold in ages 5-7 years sparring.
Complimented by 🥈 10 silver medals and 🥉 8 bronze medals - all won thanks to the dedication and commitment of the squad over the last few months.
Our squad placed 16th out of 54 teams and FOURTH in UK. 🤩
We had a fantastic time. Thank you to the organisers Pascal Dana Raeijmaekers Stokhof for the warm welcome and the excellent friendly, safe, and FUN competition experience.
The competition marks a brilliant start to the year - And only the beginning for Team ICON’s 2026 calendar and beyond to our international competition journey.

Our fabulous hard-working students are at Morrison’s in Glenrothes today, helping out with bag-packing and spreading some festive cheer. 🎄
They are hoping to raise money towards their travel costs for their competition in Belgium in February 🇧🇪
If you need to pick up any shopping or you are in Morrison’s please choose to use the regular checkouts and say hello to our students and hear more about their fundraising.

Thank you to LCD Taekwondo and all other supporting clubs for the excellent experience our students had at the LCD Team Championships on Saturday.
We entered 3 small teams who prepared in around a week, our senior girls achieved first in their category 🥇 , and the junior girls achieved third in their category 🥉. The boys, who lost a member due to our Lucas unfortunately breaking his wrist, also did a great synchronised pattern performance.
There were various successes when the teams were then split up to work in groups with students from other Taekwon-Do schools in the sparring, special technique, and board-breaking events.
We look forward to training for more team events, great first experience for Team ICON!
