⚽️ AZUL vs CROSSGATES ⚽️

The second time we’ve faced Crossgates in the space of a week, and both teams came out with plenty of energy from the first whistle.

The first half was very scrappy, with both teams getting on the scoresheet and plenty of challenges going in. Azul scoring a great goal before half time

Second half, we saw a completely different Azul side. 💙

The boys got the ball down and started playing some real football. The passing was sharp, we moved the ball around brilliantly, and defensively we dealt really well with the long-ball approach.

Once the boys started finding the net, the confidence grew and, most importantly, they were playing with smiles on their faces! 😁💙⚽️

Negra v Bayside

Round 2 of the week against Bayside this morning and we asked the team to pass and move before the game.

Unfortunately it was a slow start for Negra, the slick quick passing we have become used to was not there today. That allowed Bayside to defend in groups and we struggled to break them down. Communication going forward will be key to up the tempo, there was very good positioning and chances to open up the pitch but not enough communication to make sure the ball is going into the right areas.

Although when the passing did click we managed to carve out chances and get forward and get shots away but it was not clinical enough in front of goal to make them count which ultimately cost us in the end.

⚽️ AZUL vs CROSSGATES ⚽️

Some of the Azul boys travelled through to Dunfermline tonight to take on Crossgates.

The boys controlled large parts of the game and played some excellent football throughout. We dealt with the long ball really well defensively and looked confident with the ball at our feet.

We scored three really well-worked team goals, with some brilliant passing and movement in the build-up — an absolute joy to watch. 👏⚽️

Football can be a strange game though… somehow we also managed to put a few into our own net! 🤦‍♂️🤣

Plenty of positives to take from the performance, and now all eyes turn to Sunday, when we face Crossgates again. 👀🔥
