Glenrothes Gladiators

With rain continuing to fall through the day and Coach Nic coming down with a bug , we've made the decision to cancel training with the Gladiators tonight. Hopefully we'll be back on it for cricket fun next Friday.

A huge thanks to everyone at Largo Lions for hosting a mini softball festival today - great to get the youngsters back together again!

Some great cricket on display from all players involved - positivity, smiles and engaging with the learning points!

⭐️ FUN | ENJOYMENT | RESPECT

A fun training session last Friday night, with a focus on bowling skills (and the importance of pushing through the action) and a game of Diamond Cricket to finish the night.

If you’d like to join in, training runs every Friday night at Gilvenbank Park (weather permitting). Come along and join in the fun!

We had a fantastic evening at junior cricket training with the Gladiators. Lots of smiles as everyone got stuck into fielding practice - plenty of talking, teamwork, and great backing‑up across the group.

The softball squad then moved on to batting skills and showed some really impressive technique. Brilliant effort from everyone.

It was also lovely to welcome a couple of new youngsters along -great to have you with us.

Massive congratulations to Sam Lovett, whose senior debut couldn’t have been more impressive. Two wickets, calm under pressure, and the winning boundary to seal the match - earning him a fully deserved Player of the Match award. Sam, and the five other Gladiators involved, showed exactly what our pathway is all about.

A brilliant debut for Glens 3rd XI in the SPCU R&D League, edging Arbroath by 2 wickets in a game hosted fantastically by Arbroath - competitive, welcoming, and focused on development.

Arbroath posted 158/2, with young David Stow 50 retired the standout. For Glens, young debutant Sam Lovett taking two wickets, both bowled, was brilliant to see.

In reply, Glens started the run rate high with Govind Singh (49) and Muhammad Tayyiub (51 retired) leading the way, with a mid-innings wobble creating jitters before Lovett finished the job with a match‑winning boundary to seal 160/8 in the 28th over.

Huge thanks to Arbroath for hosting so well.
