Two decades of setting challenges for children have taught us one thing: the right obstacle isn’t the hardest one, it’s the one that makes the child want to try again.
Every course stage is designed so that children of all ages and abilities can complete the challenge safely and leave wanting to come back next year.
It’s been like this for 20 years. And that’s how it’s going to stay!

Having organised challenges for children in Scotland for years, we’ve seen first-hand what happens when an 8-year-old arrives at the start line feeling nervous and crosses the finish line covered in mud and smiling from ear to ear.
It’s not about speed. It’s not about strength.
It’s about the moment they realise: I can do this.
Research shows that structured physical challenges in a safe environment help children develop resilience, confidence and teamwork skills, abilities that extend far beyond the course.
