Gloster Knights SMBC 2023 Open Competition Update

It is with regrets that, due to a change in circumstance, we have decided we will not be hosting our Annual Competition in August. We thank you for the interest and support you have expressed to our members.

We do hope that we will be in a position to run this next year.

Keep your diaries clear as we're close to agreeing a date for our annual Club competition!!!! As soon as we get the go ahead the date shall be posted on this page. All those who are on our mailing list shall have an invite sent out, plus those thinking of entering shall have the information about how to enter available for them too.

We would like to wish all our players the very best over the next few days. With bowlers representing each day starting today where Ryan starts us off in the singles. Tomorrow in the pairs we have:

Jo and Becky are joined by two players from Ripple

On the final day in the Triples:

Phenomenal effort from Ryan and the team who unfortunately lost a very tight final 🇮🇪10-7🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 to a resilient Irish rink. A silver medal isn't what they wanted today, but we're still proud of all the England players who took part in this weekend's World Championships. Many congratulations to all the winners from across all the nations who took part 🏆🏆🏆🏆

After the success of winning the county triples yesterday, it was back down to league business for GK1, with an away trip to Defford. Even with it being away, that didn't stop a dominant performance from the squad picking up all 10 points and rounding off a brilliant weekend for the team. 💪🇾🇪
