Mercury reaches its highest point in the sky this weekend. Here's how to see it. A bright, yellowish spot in the morning sky is actually Mercury making a rare daytime appearance. Here's how to see it at its highest and brightest this week.

The 2023 Full Super Blue Moon rising over Stonehenge πππβ¨
Wow wow wow.....i didn't expect to get this with all the cloud about but i made the effort and it's true, effort really does equal reward π
So i had to make a dash across the old A360 clambering over 2 barb wire fences and was soon surrounded by the Stonehenge friendly but inquisitive Cows π
Before i had even framed up my shot they had surrounded me trying to sniff and lick the tripod π
Tonight's full Moon is the closest, biggest, and brightest Moon of the entire year, plus itβs also a Blue Moon and after missing the one at the begging of August i am absolutely chuffed to nuts π€©
Itβs exceptionally close in Moon miles from Earth (222,043 miles). The next time weβll have a closer full Supermoon is November 5, 2025, when the moon lies 221,817 miles from Earth.
A supermoon exceeds the disk size of an average-sized Moon by up to 8% and the brightness of an average-sized full Moon by some 16%. You may not perceive the difference in size, but a supermoon will appear brighter in the sky.
A Supermoon can also cause higher tides than usual.
