Our second 🏅 Checkers Achievement Awards Presentation 🏅 was held for our Tuesday Recreational Gymnasts, and what a fantastic evening it was!

It was wonderful to welcome families into the gym and share in the excitement as our gymnasts received the awards they have worked so hard to achieve. Throughout the programme, they have shown determination, resilience, and a real willingness to challenge themselves while learning new skills.

As coaches, there is nothing better than seeing the confidence and pride on their faces as they progress through the levels and achieve their goals. Every gymnast should be incredibly proud of their accomplishments.

A huge well done to all of our gymnasts, and thank you to our families for your continued support throughout their gymnastics journey. We can’t wait to see what you’ll achieve next! ✨🤸‍♀️

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿ENGLISH CHAMPION🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
Today we had our 3 qualifying tumblers compete in the English Silver & Gold Championships.
Joe is now the English Champion for regional 2 men’s 15+. Joe, we are so proud of you and this is such a massive achievement. Your runs were beautiful so this is very well deserved. We can’t wait to see what is next for you! A big well done again.
Grace, who is new to tumbling, has finished in 5th place for Club 6 women’s 15+, with some beautiful runs and some really good scores. We hope you enjoyed this experience and we can’t wait to see what happens for you in the next year.
Layla, we are also so proud of you. Sitting in 8th place for Regional 1 U13. Your runs were beautiful, and you had some really good scores. The scores were so close between yourself and 3rd place. You should be so happy with this.
Our tumblers today have all placed within top 10 of the best club in England, all runs were beautiful and all scores were amazing. And we now have another English Champion. We are so so proud and can’t wait to see what happens next for you all 🤍❤️🖤

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Due to the forecasted high temperatures tomorrow (Tuesday 26th May), and in line with our Hot Weather Guidelines, we will be making the following adjustments to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children and staff:

❌ Gymnastics Sessions
All scheduled gymnastics sessions on Tuesday will be cancelled for the full day.

✅ Holiday Camp – Running with Adjustments
Our holiday camp will still be running, however there will be some important changes to the structure of the day:

* Increased break times throughout the day
* More downtime and lower-intensity activities as temperatures rise
* A focus on keeping children cool, hydrated, and comfortable
* Ice lollies will be available to help keep everyone cool

⚠️ Early Collection if Needed
If at any point we feel that the heat is becoming too excessive, or if a child is struggling in the conditions, parents will be contacted and asked to collect their child early.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we prioritise everyone’s health and safety during this period of hot weather.

🏆TUMBLING SOUTH WEST NORTH COMPETITION🏆
On the weekend we held the Tumbling South West Club Level North competition.
We had some of our mini, junior and senior tumblers compete in this.
For some of our mini’s and juniors this was their first ever competition and we are immensely proud of them all.
We had 16/25 medals! 3 4ths, 1 5th, 2 6th, 1 7th and 1 8th. And even in 2 categories we had checkers sitting top 3 and top 4.
We just want to say a massive well done to all of our tumblers who competed on the weekend, we are so proud of everyone.

A huge well done to all of our Saturday Recreational Gymnasts who took part in yesterday’s 🏅 Checkers Achievement Awards Presentation 🏅

We loved welcoming parents and guardians into the gym to celebrate the hard work, progress, and dedication our gymnasts have shown throughout the programme. From confidence building to mastering new skills, every gymnast should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved!

🇬🇧SOUTH WEST TEAM SELECTION🇬🇧
Today we took a selection of our senior tumblers back to Newton Abbot to qualify top 2 to compete for the south west against the best of the best in Great Britain.
A huge well done to Evie who came 2nd and has qualified to compete in July!🥳 We are so proud.
Also, a big well done to Florrie, Scarlett & Layla who were 3rd so are now reserves. As well as Rosie who placed 4th, again by only 0.4!
Another big well done to Harper & Valentina who have only recently moved up to regional level and put down clean and beautiful runs today.
And last but not least, Charlotte - your 3rd run was beautiful!
Again, a really big well done to our tumblers for today, we are so so proud of everyone!
