The girls enjoyed a fantastic in-house game today, and every single player gave it their all. It was great to see so much hard work in training being put into practice, with some brilliant football, excellent teamwork and loads of smiles on a lovely sunny morning. 👏⚽😊

🌍💚 This morning our U8/U9 Girls swapped their football boots for litter pickers as they headed out to help keep our local community clean! 🗑️👏

The girls did an amazing job, working together to collect litter and showing fantastic teamwork, respect and pride in their local area. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved with big smiles on their faces while making a real difference to the environment. 🌱😊

☀️⚽ What a fantastic way to finish the season for our U7 & U8 Girls! 💚🤍

Today we celebrated our final session before a well-earned break, bringing together players, siblings, parents, families and coaches for one huge game of rounders! 🏏😄 With an amazing turnout and plenty of laughter, it was a brilliant way to come together and celebrate everything we’ve achieved this season.

The smiles were everywhere as everyone got involved, showing exactly what makes Longford Youth FC so special – one big football family! 🥰🙌

🏅 We then finished the event by presenting every player with a medal to recognise all of their hard work, commitment, development and effort throughout the season. The progress each and every player has made has been incredible, and we couldn’t be prouder of them. 👏⚽🌟

🍦 Just when the players thought the day couldn’t get any better, we had one final surprise as the ice cream van arrived! Safe to say there were some very happy faces all around! 😃🍦

It was also fantastic to spend Father’s Day together, with dads, families and coaches all joining in the fun and making some wonderful memories. 💚

⚽🌟 VOLUNTEER COACH WANTED – YEAR 1 GIRLS TEAM 🌟⚽

Longford Youth FC are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and positive volunteer to help launch and lead our new Year 1 Girls Team! 💙💛

This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire the next generation of footballers, helping young girls develop their confidence, make new friends, learn new skills and most importantly, have fun! ⚽😊🙌

🌟 No previous coaching experience? No problem!

Whilst coaching experience and qualifications would be beneficial, full support, guidance and training will be available for the right person. You’ll be joining a friendly, supportive club environment with experienced coaches who are on hand to help every step of the way. 🤝⚽

📅 Matches will take place on Sunday mornings.
⚽ Training sessions will be Tuesday/Sundays

We are looking for someone who is:
✅ Positive and encouraging
✅ Reliable and enthusiastic
✅ Passionate about helping children develop
✅ Keen to be part of a growing grassroots football club

☀️⚽ What a fantastic sunny Sunday morning for our U8 Girls as we hosted Gotherington in two back-to-back matches at Longford! 💙💛

The girls were absolutely brilliant throughout both games, playing some fantastic football, showing great teamwork, determination and plenty of smiles along the way. It’s wonderful to see how much confidence and quality they continue to develop every week. 👏⚽🌟

What an incredible afternoon for our U8 girls at the Champions League Football Festival in Frampton upon Severn! 🌟

The girls had an absolutely fantastic day playing some brilliant football against great teams from Frampton, Tuffley and Malmesbury 😎 Every match was full of energy, teamwork and determination, and the progress the girls have made over the past few months was clear for everyone to see! ⚽⚽️🧤🧤

Walking out to Champions League music with the smoke effects made the day feel extra special and the girls loved every minute of it! To top it all off, finishing the festival with medals and a huge confetti cannon celebration made for an unforgettable experience 🎊🎊

Most importantly, the girls had an absolute blast and should all be so proud of themselves for the effort, attitude and football they showed throughout the afternoon.

What a brilliant afternoon at the Tuffley Rovers tournament! For the girls, this was their very first tournament experience and they should all be incredibly proud of themselves. 🙌👏

The girls showed amazing determination and resilience throughout the day 💪, taking on every challenge with smiles on their faces 😁 and a fantastic attitude. There was some lovely football played and so much progress on display, with everyone giving their absolute all from start to finish.

Tournaments like this are such a great learning experience, and the girls embraced every moment, supporting each other and growing in confidence with every game 🌟💙
