⚽🌟 VOLUNTEER COACH WANTED – YEAR 1 GIRLS TEAM 🌟⚽

Longford Youth FC are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and positive volunteer to help launch and lead our new Year 1 Girls Team! 💙💛

This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire the next generation of footballers, helping young girls develop their confidence, make new friends, learn new skills and most importantly, have fun! ⚽😊🙌

🌟 No previous coaching experience? No problem!

Whilst coaching experience and qualifications would be beneficial, full support, guidance and training will be available for the right person. You’ll be joining a friendly, supportive club environment with experienced coaches who are on hand to help every step of the way. 🤝⚽

📅 Matches will take place on Sunday mornings.
⚽ Training sessions will be Tuesday/Sundays

We are looking for someone who is:
✅ Positive and encouraging
✅ Reliable and enthusiastic
✅ Passionate about helping children develop
✅ Keen to be part of a growing grassroots football club

☀️⚽ What a fantastic sunny Sunday morning for our U8 Girls as we hosted Gotherington in two back-to-back matches at Longford! 💙💛

The girls were absolutely brilliant throughout both games, playing some fantastic football, showing great teamwork, determination and plenty of smiles along the way. It’s wonderful to see how much confidence and quality they continue to develop every week. 👏⚽🌟

🏆 A huge congratulations to Arianna, who was awarded Opposition Player of the Match in Game 1. You were on fire today, working hard all over the pitch and putting in an outstanding performance! 🔥👏

🏆 Congratulations also to Robyn, who picked up Opposition Player of the Match in Game 2. You were fantastic both in goal and when playing as a striker, showing great versatility and determination throughout the game! 🧤⚽👏

Well done to all of the girls for their effort, attitude and teamwork today. We are so proud of every one of you! 💙💛🙌

What an incredible afternoon for our U8 girls at the Champions League Football Festival in Frampton upon Severn! 🌟

The girls had an absolutely fantastic day playing some brilliant football against great teams from Frampton, Tuffley and Malmesbury 😎 Every match was full of energy, teamwork and determination, and the progress the girls have made over the past few months was clear for everyone to see! ⚽⚽️🧤🧤

Walking out to Champions League music with the smoke effects made the day feel extra special and the girls loved every minute of it! To top it all off, finishing the festival with medals and a huge confetti cannon celebration made for an unforgettable experience 🎊🎊

Most importantly, the girls had an absolute blast and should all be so proud of themselves for the effort, attitude and football they showed throughout the afternoon.

What a brilliant afternoon at the Tuffley Rovers tournament! For the girls, this was their very first tournament experience and they should all be incredibly proud of themselves. 🙌👏

The girls showed amazing determination and resilience throughout the day 💪, taking on every challenge with smiles on their faces 😁 and a fantastic attitude. There was some lovely football played and so much progress on display, with everyone giving their absolute all from start to finish.

Tournaments like this are such a great learning experience, and the girls embraced every moment, supporting each other and growing in confidence with every game 🌟💙

We’re so excited to announce that on Sunday 19th April we are starting our brand-new Girls team! 🌟 This is open to any children currently in Reception at school or starting Reception in September.

🕤 Time: 10:30-11:30
📍 Venue: Longford Park Primary Academy
Clock Tower Road, Longford, Gloucester, GL2 9FP

The session will take place in the sports hall, where children will:
✅ Become part of a team
✅ Make new friends
✅ Learn football skills
