Kenbu Dojo - Martial Arts Club A fully inclusive Martial Arts Group based in Gloucester. Teaching Kenpo Karate and Budo (Ninjutsu) Whether you have autism, anxiety, medical concerns etc.

A series of classes taught by world champion instructor Sinead Byrne. Everyone is always welcome to come along and give the classes a try. We teach the arts of Kenpo Karate and the traditional art of Bujinkan (Ninjutsu). (All lessons are currently taught in a Covid Secure Manner)

We have classes in Gloucester for complete beginners right up to advanced students. On the following days:

Monday
Thursday
Saturday

Depending on your age and ability, we have various times on each day to suit your needs. Best thing to do is go to our website and fill out an enquiry form. www.kenbu.co.uk

We have children of all abilities across all of our classes. We specialise in being inclusive to every person who comes through our door. we will welcome you and make you feel as comfortable and included as possible. Our classes will teach students from young beginners, to students who want a social activity to improve their fitness and make friends... right up to representing Great Britain at a European level in competition. There is something for everyone, we will help you what ever your goals may be. All our classes are small groups, with an emphasis on learning, not making a profit. So your child will get the best attention possible to aid them in their learning and martial arts journey. The instructor is fully insured, recognised, first aid and safeguarding training all up to date. If you wish to see these documents please request it and we will show you at your first lesson. No crazy costs involved, you can choose to pay as you go or pay monthly. Whichever is convenient for you. We are back on the mats and ready for a whole new term ahead in our much loved community hall, that we have spent the last few weeks giving it a bit of a TLC! We hope you all love the changes we have made.

Last week saw our members go head to head with a Kenbu Sports Day to remember!

The green team took the win….. but the fun was never ending throughout the day. Perfect weather for it too and lots of laughs were had.

Thank you to all families and friends who joined us on the day and either took part or watched from the shade around the park.

Next year we will go bigger and better again! 🥳🥳🥳

Saturdays ladies only class worked hard this week on some of the basics and fundamentals of Kenpo Karate.

Of course we went from basics to a tangent of discussion around self defence and weapons …. But that’s why we love our ladies group! Eager to learn more each week and love any opportunity for a good chat.

If you are a lady aged between 16-100 years old and would like to come along and say hello, please send us a message. We would love to meet you.

Don’t let the world tell you that you’re:

Too old to start martial arts 👵🏻
- Our current oldest student started at 70 years old!

Too unfit 🏋️‍♀️
- Fitness is not needed, but you will feel stronger for coming along and doing some light exercise each week.

That it’s not for girls 👧
- Men love for us to believe we can’t do something. Prove them wrong like many of our current world champion female students have!

Too shy 🙈
- Being shy is a huge strength to have, even our head instructor is shy, but it is those who learn to use that to their advantage that are the strongest people!

No confidence 😬
- If you have never done martial arts, how could you be confident at it? Come along we will show you all you need to know and in no time at all watch your confidence flourish!

It’s been a fun and busy few weeks at Kenbu Dojo! Summer is heating up and we are smashing through syllabus and skills and having so much time for games and fun. 😊
