Round 2 of the AMCA British championship didn’t have a good start for the Holab overflow Yamaha team. Mediocre qualifying and bad starts made for tough racing, buried in mid pack ... Charlie palmer was on for good finishes only a red flag and poor restart gave a lower placed finish than was expected.. Dom Newbury in MX2 rode great in his race finishing at the sharp end only for a bike failure on the line in race 2. But two strong rides on day 2 saw him back in to 6th to finish with strong points and confidence back in the bike on a very rough and demanding circuit..
In MX1, Tyron Cleaver was not his normal, fast starting self and seemed to be spending too much time inspecting the Bromsberrow turf than was required in the well stacked race..
Aaron Colley pulled a podium out of the bag in the final race after also suffering bike niggles in other races … bad luck to Jordy wright who also suffered bike problems to drop him from the box .. Thanks to Luke Dean and Dad for getting us sorted for parts and assistance with Wez Harding on the spanner’s keeping it all moving 💪🏼
Thanks to all behind the scenes that make it all possible.

The Holab Overflow Yamaha squad launched their first official outing, at the first round of the AMCA British MX championship last weekend.
Aboard the new Yamaha brand and new team sponsors of Overflow, Boost Energy and IDS Transport. The four man squad had plenty to offer in the way of speed, but unfortunately intermittent rain storms, on a hard fast track, did not suit everyone…
However, in the 125 class Aaron Colley had a consistent performance winning a moto and finishing third overall. A good start to carry into the more technical and demanding circuit of Bromsberrow. Aaron’s 125 race team mate, Charlie Palmer, suffered from the slick conditions and a broken spark plug, causing a low points tally of which will be different as the venues change in forthcoming races.
In MX2, the new boy on the 250 2 smoker Domonic Newbury was also cursed with poor starts and bad luck getting caught up in 2 first corner pileups, he then had to work extra hard to catch the pack, but each time getting well within the top ten, however after the first good gate saw the number 6 work a good start in and at least showed everyone his speed is there..
In MX1, another new kid on the team is the number 7- fast starting Tyron Cleaver and again showing good speed only to hit the ground hard, ringing his bell slowing his progress for the weekend..
All riders came out of round one safely and the bench mark has been set for the rest of the championship.. 🏁
