Another fantastic day in the Mellte Valley. We started with an abseil at Dinas Rock, where everyone showed great confidence and teamwork. After that, we headed into the gorge for a full session of climbing, wading, swimming, and exploring.

The jump at Sgwd Pannwr was the perfect finish — a real test of nerve and a brilliant moment of achievement for the whole group.

What an incredible family adventure on the Afon Sychryd today.
The gorge was alive with laughter as they made their way upstream — swimming, jumping and scrambling through the stunning scenery and brilliant water levels.

Every single one of them rose to the challenge. They showed resilience, confidence and a real willingness to step out of their comfort zone. It was fantastic to see a family swap screen time for scenic time and fully embrace the outdoors together.

What a day for H’s Stagventure on the Afon Sychryd.
This group rose to every challenge the gorge threw at them — pushing themselves with confidence, laughter and big smiles from start to finish.

They slid, scrambled, jumped and swam their way through the beauty of the gorge, helped along by brilliant water levels and even better teamwork. The atmosphere was spot on all day, with everyone encouraging each other and getting stuck into the adventure.

A brilliant family adventure on the Afon Sychryd — full of energy, laughter, and just the right amount of nerves.

This awesome family threw themselves into every challenge: swimming down the river, jumping off waterfalls, scrambling through the gorge, and of course… pushing each other in whenever they got the chance. A few moments of fear showed up along the way, but they smashed through it together and came out buzzing.

Such a great day with a family who know how to have fun and back each other all the way.

What a stag day out on the Afon Mellte! 💦🔥
This crew absolutely sent it — walking through waterfalls, diving head‑first into deep pools, scrambling up and down rock, and even jumping off a 26ft waterfall like it was nothing.

The laughs were constant, the energy was unreal, and the whole day felt like the perfect mix of adventure and catching up with the lads. Exactly what a stag weekend in South Wales should be.

Kesteven Under 15s absolutely smashed their gorge scrambling adventure on the Afon Sychryd this weekend. From powering through fast‑flowing sections to leaping off waterfalls, they threw themselves into every challenge with total commitment.
Their determination, teamwork, and willingness to push their limits made the day something special. Watching them support each other, laugh together, and take on the gorge with confidence was exactly what adventure is all about.

A fantastic family day out! This adventurous crew threw themselves into the gorge walk last weekend, pushing their resilience, confidence, and family bond every step of the way. They gave absolutely everything a go — even in cold water, hail, and rain.
