A busy afternoon with Simon from Sussex Equine. All the broodmares at Sparr Farm have had their EHV and a quick pregnancy check to check on their precious cargo.

Uma had her annual MOT and will be back out competing soon. And we are still debating whether Axel is going to be bay or liver chestnut, he’s holding his cards close to his chest 😂

Another lovely day exploring the countryside with the ponies.

Ella was rather bouncy for her ride, declaring rather loudly with a squeal that she’d like a pint at the local pub Cricketers Arms in Wisborough Green 🤣 Dora, Uma and Jeff were all perfect as always 🩵

Uma enjoyed her regular session at Equine Aqua Training this morning, before demanding endless fuss and kisses from James whilst he was adjusting the stable doors on the yard.

Dora was her usual lovely self, only very light ridden work whilst she comes back into work but we have some training lined up for October/November when we’ll really start to see just what she can do 😁

It looks like I have a very exciting bunch of horses as we look towards a winter of training ahead of 2027 👌

As you can see, it was very much teamwork to get JSA Stud’s Axel and Flora ready yesterday. Thank you so much to the girls at Sparr Farm for helping me prep the horses, I even got my needle and thread out for the first time since 2023 to plait Flora!
