💚 What do you enjoy most about coaching your team?
“The group we have is special to coach. We’ve had 75% of our team since we started, and to see how far they’ve come as a team makes us so proud.
We’re a really hardworking team with a great mindset. When we do have new signings, the way our girls integrate them into the group is so good.”

Shout out to our U13B team who played Brighouse this weekend and won 3-0! Fantastic team effort, coaches Steve & Dave were really pleased with the team performances and wanted to give a shout out to Freddie for MOTM and Oli for a fantastic penalty save! 👏

Our new U7s have started the 3v3 season off!! We spoke to coach Jess who gave us her views on the new set up!

Overall, the new 3v3 setup is a positive change. It gives every child plenty of playing time and more involvement with the ball, helping them develop teamwork, tackling and passing skills. Having three pitches running alongside each other means that up to nine children from each team can play at the same time, which keeps everyone involved. With no substitutes, every child gets to be on the pitch for the maximum amount of time. The smaller goals also encourage players to develop their accuracy. However, it can be challenging when children are absent due to illness or holidays, as this can leave teams short of players. The lack of set positions can also take some getting used to, and the format requires a good level of support from coaches and additional adults. Overall, the benefits for the children’s development and involvement make 3v3 a worthwhile setup!

Today the Under 15 Girls play their first league game in division 1. The club and coaches Sheldon Knowles Ben Senior are so proud of the journey these girls have had so far in football, 3 full seasons together and today starting 8 divisions higher than when we began.
