Aaron can’t be at every comp people sign up for, but he does try to get to as many as possible. Great to hear brilliant feedback about the comp class also! You don’t have to be a competitor to take part in the Wednesday session, it just helps your team mates and accelerates your jiujitsu 🔥
Another final well done to all our competitors this weekend - looking forward to seeing the monster that is Will at Dorset & Hants next Saturday!

Huge congratulations to Mark who finished both of his matches by submission today to become the Champ. He has increased his training which is obvious to everyone in the gym as his development has sky rocketed since receiving his blue belt just last year and I’m so pleased all his efforts have paid off today. Massively well deserved - well done! 👏🏻

This week marks 16 years of RJJA at Heritage Business Park. Over the many years I have been posting on social media, I have always marked the occasion with gym renovations from the past, the stories of how Martin & Aaron gutted the place and worked their way up, competition success, members who are still here etc..
But RJJA is not about the building at all. It isn’t about the person who won gold or the person who got tapped in 10 seconds on one specific day.
It’s about the members who joined, moved away and are still in contact today. It’s the people who have left jiujitsu altogether but still support from afar. It’s the ones who moved clubs and are still on their journies. It’s the people we meet along the way - the socials, the community, the cross training, the good times and I’ll be frank - the not so good times - when everyone still rallies for each other.
It’s the people who make RJJA what it is today. Those past and present. And we are grateful to every single one of you *especially the ones who enable Aaron to continue doing the sport he loves as a job every day*
So here’s just a VERY small snippet from over the years 🫶🏻
Thank you - and here’s hoping we can continue building this community for many years to come ✨
