St Andrews BC Blues 2018’s Welcome to our page. We are in the PJDYFL and play on Sundays in fun 5s. We train every Tuesday and Thursday.

Another weeks training done This weeks focus at training was on dribbling and awareness 💪👀 . Who doesnt love a game of x and o's the boys and even the coaches ( rolled back a good few years to our own childhoods here ) all really enjoyed this one 🔵 on to league duties on sunday ⚽️

💙 GAMEDAY ROUND-UP, ST ANDREWS 2018 BLUES 💙⚽

Another really positive morning for the boys across our three games! 👏

The lads showed great energy from the first whistle, playing some fast, fluid football and working hard for each other throughout. There were plenty of encouraging moments, with some really nice passing, good movement and the boys looking much more confident in possession.

They created lots of chances, scored some excellent goals and kept trying to play the right way even when games became difficult. The effort and determination were there all morning, and the boys should be proud of how they applied themselves.

There is still plenty to work on, but the hard work at training is starting to show more and more on matchdays. Keep believing in yourselves, keep moving the ball and keep working for your teammates! 💙

⭐ PLAYER OF THE WEEK — SHAYE ⭐

A brilliant performance from Shaye this week. Phenomenal work rate, some great goals and 100% effort in every game. Shaye brings the same attitude every week at both training and match days, always working hard, always listening and always giving everything for the team.

Well done, Shaye, thoroughly deserved! 👏💙

💙 WHAT A WEEK FOR THE 2018 BLUES! 💙⚽

What a fantastic effort from the boys across our three fixtures! 👏

We’ve seen some brilliant football being played, with the lads dominating possession, moving the ball around really well and showing some excellent passing and movement.

The chances were coming, the football was flowing, and we managed to score some lovely goals along the way. ⚽🔥

Most importantly, the boys are starting to show real confidence in how we want to play. There’s been a lot of positives to take from these games, and the hard work on the training pitch is really starting to show. 👏💙

⭐ PLAYER OF THE WEEK – LAWSON ⭐

Lawson has really switched on this last week. His determination in the tackles has been excellent, his effort has been 100%, and he’s really shown a hunger to win the ball and make things happen.

That’s exactly the attitude we want to see! 💪

Well done, Lawson, keep pushing, keep working, and let’s see even more of it! 👏🔥

This week it’s our resident goal poacher’s turn! 🎯😂

Jordan is up next in our Meet the Team series — and he’s managed to time it perfectly because he’s also our CURRENT PLAYER OF THE WEEK! 🏆👏

A positive and competitive game day for St Andrews 2018s Blue, with the boys facing three good sides and coming away with a draw and a win.
All three games were closely contested, and the boys showed great resilience as the day went on. After taking a little time to find their rhythm early on, the squad grew in confidence, with their passing, positioning, communication and decision making improving across the fixtures.

The final game was a real highlight. The boys played with energy, worked hard for one another and produced some flowing football. A clean sheet was a great reward for the team’s defending and organisation, while some wonderful goals at the other end showed the quality the boys have when they play with confidence.

There are still a few areas for us to keep working on in training, particularly starting every game with the same focus and intensity shown later in the day. Overall, though, there was plenty to be proud of and lots to build on going forward.

⭐️ Coaches’ Player of the Week: Jordan F 🤩

Jordan has shown excellent effort and application both in training this week and throughout the game day. He contributed some great goals and worked hard for the team.

Well done Jordan, keep up the hard work. 👏🔵
