First time in the shaping shed this year, it's been a long time coming, thoroughly enjoyed my morning hotcoating my new handplane sled and repairing an olo Simmons in the sunshine 🔥👊.

Mowing foam, huge rail band action on the nose and roughed out the tail shape and under cut, hope it works 👍.

A new 12' 6" race shape under development, deep dug out on this one with some side cuts at the tail for better glide.
I will post progress and testing here.

Set to work releasing the mold from the pattern tonight, fought it for a while but it jumped off with a bang, hull mold complete, I will lay it up as an epoxy carbon sandwich, nice and light and set it up with a fast paddling/cruising board, it's a little to wide to call it a race board, they are on the way 🤙

The long road to plug making, this 14' er flat water board is in the process of becoming a plug mould for a hollow carbon beastie, 70 hours in and the gelcoat is being stirred, never spent this long on a board before 😭.
