Strathspey Camanachd After the club's founding in 2011, we were accepted into senior shinty in 2012, and are the newest club to do so.

We are based in Grantown, and we currently training on a Wednesday. Drop us a line if your interested, all welcome. Over the weekend some of our youth players took part in a couple of highly competitive competitions.
Saturday saw the Am Fasgadh Quaich held in Newtonmore.
Sunday a team headed down to Kingussie for the 6 aside tournament.
Both competitions were full of close games with everyone playing some fantastic shinty. Massive well done to everyone of our junior players and thank you to the parents who helped out on both days. Amazing effort by everybody!!

Big shout out and thank you to three of our own; Rachel, Rosie and Jorgie who at the weekend helped to officiate the WCA finals.
Combined they have many years of experience which was a massive benefit as they oversaw what quickly turned into a very exciting and competitive game with a fantastic level of professionalism and enthusiasm. Well done girls!!

Close fought match tonight for our U14 team as they took on Strathglass Shinty Club at home.

Our youngsters played their hearts out, showing some fantastic moments of shinty, passing, battling and fighting till the very end. 💪

The away team were the victors taking the lead in final 10 minutes to finish of the scoring at 3-2 to Strathglass.

Well done all a great first match back 👏

BIG shout out for our U14 Girls team who made a CLUB HISOTRY this weekend 😊

The girls, who only started training together this year, have built numbers up week on week, and the success of the growth in this area was felt this weekend as the club entered TWO U14 Girls teams for the first time in to the Round Robin event in Strathglass.

It is a tremendous thing to see so many young girls playing and enjoying the sport. A HUGE well done and thank you to Jo and her band of helpers who have creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for girls from all around Strathspey to join. 👏👏👏💜💜

Summer holiday stick fix!

A massive thank you to local business Angus+Mack for allowing us to use their workshop space and expertise in order to fix some of our broken Camans for club use! What a satisfying project to be able to breathe some life back into these old loved sticks.

The repurposed sticks will be available for use by our youth players when they return to their outdoor training next week 💪
