🚨RESULTS ARE IN FOR WEEK 2 OF THE GPL MINI SNOOKER SUMMER SHOOTOUT

👏Another high quality, intense and entertaining Thursday evening saw our top 4 qualify into the next stages. Congratulations to Kevin Kelleher, Luke Coyne, Farron Rowe & Edward Cairns.

Commiserations to James Page & Marc Sunderland after their efforts didn’t transpire on the night.

👊Special shoutout to Kev, the long dog, for topping the competitive group going 5/5. Also worth mentioning a solid Coynie performance throughout the evening, where he just found him self falling short to Kev in their frame!

🔴Despite just about missing out on top spot in the group, Luke took the highest break of the night in a well taken 51! Although we were all waiting to see him have a stab at Jaspal Bamotra’s highest break which still sits at 82.

Gravesham Pool League 2026 Scotch Doubles

The annual Scotch Doubles was held at the Gravesend Pool Lounge where we saw 16 pairings battling it out for the 2026 title. Some great pool was played throughout the day from everyone. The conclusion of the group stages saw the top 2 pairs qualify through to the main events quarter finals whilst the bottom 2 progressing to the losers section.

The loser section final we saw a match up between James Eakins/Maxx Manktelow face off against Roger Knowles/Mark Lapham. The match was quick fire which ended with a comfortable 5-0 win for James & Maxx 👏

Down to the main event semi finals and it was Kev Kelleher/Pat Linyard v Dal Latimer/James Millen. Dal & James got off to a quick 2-0 lead but but it was Kev & Pat who stepped up the pace running out 7-3 winners. The other semi finals was contested between Rick Cooper/Steve Mullins against the young pairing of Elijah Shovelar/Ollie McGough who had played superbly all day. The match was very close at the outset but Ricky & Steve were just too strong in the end winning the game 7-4

A strong final between 4 quality players and it started at the high standard we expected with a break clearance from Kev & Pat quickly followed by another frame to give Kev & Pat a commanding 2-0 lead. However it didn’t last long before the score was tied. The back end was close but a couple of mistakes from Kev & Pat were capitalised on eventually allowing Ricky & Steve to take the title 🏆. Well done guys and thank you to everyone that attended to make this a great day.

A quick thank you to the committee members for their efforts throughout the day to ensure that the competition ran smoothly and to the bar staff at the Gravesend Pool Lounge working tirelessly again to make sure everyone was fed and watered.

What a fantastic evening we had at the lounge for Week 1 of the Mini Snooker Summer Shootout! 🎱🔥

It was great to see all six players in action, with some superb potting, clever safety play and plenty of exciting moments throughout the night.

Unfortunately, two players had to bow out this week. Commiserations to James Eakins and Maxx Manktelow, who both put in a great effort.

Congratulations to Jaspal Bamotra, Carl Jones, Paul Keepin and Daniel Lernihan, who all progress to the next stage.

A special mention goes to Jaspal, who topped the group with an outstanding 5 wins from 5 and produced a brilliant 82 break to cap off a fantastic performance. 👏

Jas’ 82 break will be posted shortly, so keep your eyes peeled👀
