As a tribute to the great Julia Mills after her incredibly sad passing, we are making Issue 33, which features an interview with Julia, free for all to read. You can download the issue using the link below.

Julia was a phenomenal powerlifter, but who she was as a person will be her legacy. Every time I saw Julia at a competition, she always had a smile on her face, was always positive and happy to chat, and supported and helped others whenever she could.

We have a little announcement to make. Sadly, Black Star Strength Ltd has (for now at least) ceased trading. We will be looking to move forward to the new brand Black Star Barbell that will be alive in due time.

We would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the last couple of years with Black Star Strength. As we move forward to our new future we want to thank all of you especially Caven Hammock Emma Stewart Emma and Kalle Eemeli Ylitalo-James , Hannah Mouland and George Purchase and the late, great, and sadly missed Morris who all went above and way beyond to help us to get the brand off the ground - you have our thanks.
The company page will now be used to demonstrate all of the great success of the clients that still represent us as a brand in the best way possible. We intend to keep the Black Star Strength – Family, friends, and fans group page active while we transfer to the new brand. We kill keep going together and we thank you all for being such an amazing family as this is what we will always have.

Black Star Strength sponsored the "Silver Dollar Deadlift" competition at last weekends FitXpo in Liverpool.
The weight started at 290kg and finished in a 3 way tie at 500kg !!
