Six months ago, I was lying in a hospital bed after major bowel surgery, wondering what my body would be capable of again.
Today, I’m building the strongest physique of my life.
The last six months have been anything but easy. They’ve been full of pain, complications, setbacks and learning to adapt to a body that suddenly worked very differently. There were days I wasn’t sure I could keep showing up, or if I would ever be somewhat functional again.
But if this journey has taught me anything, it’s that strength isn’t built when everything goes to plan. It’s built in the moments you choose to keep going when it doesn’t.
We don’t get to choose every challenge life throws at us, but we do get to choose whether we let it define us.
So if you’re in the middle of your own difficult season, keep showing up. Keep adapting. Keep believing in yourself, even when progress feels painfully slow.
You have no idea where six months of refusing to give up could take you! 💪🏽💪🏽✨✨🫶🫶
