Last week we had some great sessions, sparring and kick techniques at the scout hut and then poomsae on Sundays.
Our new members are settling in well and impressing us with their kicks.
Some great progress was made learning our new patterns, it’s so good to see everyone focussing and working so hard to perfect their poomsae. Well done everyone another week to be proud of!

We are having a Saturday session off before our beginners class launches on Saturday 19th at 9:30 am.

Great to see some busy sessions for the last week in August and everyone putting in 100%

And as we head into September, we’d like to wish all our members who are starting a new school, moving up to high school, or simply returning to the classroom after the summer holidays, the very best of luck. 📚🍎

We are looking forward to seeing some returning members in September after the summer break, as well as a few new faces.

We will also have more information shortly regarding the October Interclub competition. 🥋

We are excited to announce that we will be launching a beginners/ refresher course on Saturday mornings 9:30 - 10:30.

This will begin on 19th September and run for 4 consecutive weeks at the scout hut off Hall Lane.

The course will establish the fundamentals of all aspects of taekwondo, including; technique and padwork. Great for beginners but also for those coming back to the martial art after a break.

The cost of is £30 for the 4 week course with a dobok and belt on completion.

There are limited places so please contact to book you place.

What happens before the Taekwondo starts? 🥋

Running a martial arts club isn’t just about what happens during the training session.

Tonight is contact sparring, so before our students arrive, our black belts are busy preparing the training area, putting down the flooring and mats, thoroughly disinfecting and wiping them down, and making sure everything is ready for the session.

Hygiene is a big part of running a club, particularly when students are training in close contact with each other.

We do everything we can to keep our training environment clean and minimise the risk of contagious conditions such as ringworm and other skin infections, including no outside shoes on the mats.

It’s all the little things behind the scenes that help make a club run properly.

Now… who’s ready to spar? 🥋
