Our worst performance of the season so far. Defensively all over the place and made countless errors but thankfully our forward men know how to find the back of the net.

MOTM: Taylor Hawcroft

This lad has an engine that could send a cruise ship around the world. Never stops, covers every blade of grass and you know it’s not 90 minutes of football if he isn’t going head to head with someone at some point either. Nailed every tackle perfectly tonight and shows exactly what we as a team are about.

Really proud to wear the colours of Great Harwood Rovers tonight, the boys were class from start to finish.

Spent the first 15 minutes camped on our own 18 yard box but once we settled the nerves and started to play we enjoyed bouts of possession and stood tall throughout the next 75 minutes.

Should’ve been level at half time and bar a howler from the officials, could’ve also found the back of the net in the second half too.

Showed what we’re about against a great Barnoldswick team who will no doubt go well this season in the North West Counties Premier Division. I’m fairly sure they’ll be beating many teams by more than 3 goals throughout the year.

Great runout in preparation for Saturday.

A new challenge on the horizon tomorrow night as we take ourselves into completely new territory and take on Barnoldswick Town F.C. who are a very well established step 5 club, under the floodlights.

“When Barnoldswick got in touch with the prospect of a friendly, there was no doubt in my mind about whether I wanted our lads to take this game or not”

“A great club, doing great things and we welcome the challenge”

The bar will be open and hopefully we can get a few faces down to cheer on the lads!
