Day 7 walking the West Highland Way! Kingshouse Hotel to Kinlochleven including the Devil's Staircase. A day of short torrential downpours followed by sunshine and blue skies on repeat. One more day to go!

Today started later than planned due to gusty 40 mile an hour winds overnight snapping a pole that holds up the bedroom in our awning (where Isaac has been sleeping) None of us got much sleep last night! So we managed to upgrade to a small pod for tonight - I think we were all mightily relieved! This meant we did need to empty the awning and transfer our belongings to the pod before we could leave for our walk. We finally set off from Kingshouse Hotel at 11.40am for our journey to Kinlochleven which includes the infamous Devil's Staircase!

Day 6 on the West Highland Way! Bridge of Orchy to Kingshouse. 12.49 miles in 4 hours in the rain. Not a lot to look at today, most of the mountain tops were shrouded in clouds and it rained more on than off!

In the end we did walk to Kingshouse today! Just over 12 miles. Wet, wet, wet and windy.

Day 5 on The West Highland Way! Started in Auchtertyre around 10.15am in full waterproofs expecting a day of rain. We weren't disappointed! Our destination was Bridge of Orchy which was just over 9 miles away in the end. We treated ourselves to the highly acclaimed Fish & Chips at inTyndrum on our way to our campsite for the night.

Day 5, Westonbirt Highland Way.. Thursday 17th September

Today after a lie-in and a fry-up Tash Nordic walked from Beinglas Campsite to Auctertyre, around 10.2 miles, 18,778 steps. The weather was mixed with light rainy spells, but it was humid too. Walking an extra 3 miles unplanned today means tomorrow will be a similar distance.

Day 4 Nordic walking The West Highland Way. Beinglas Campsite to Auctertyre.

Day Three on the West Highland Way. Rowardennan to Beinglas Campsite, almost 15 miles in showers and sunshine. Probably the hardest days walking I have ever done! A very long stretch of technical rocky terrain with stream crossings and hard to negotiate areas on already tired legs, but the scenery made up for the torture! Not for the faint hearted this section!Glad for Isaac's company and my trusty poles!
