🌿 Feeling overwhelmed, anxious or stuck in your thoughts?
•
Try the 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Technique ✨
👀 5 things you can see
👂 4 things you can hear
✋ 3 things you can touch
👃 2 things you can smell
👅 1 thing you can taste
•
Taking a moment to focus on your senses can help bring your attention back to the present moment and create a little space from overwhelming thoughts. 💛
•
Pause. Breathe. Notice. Ground yourself. 🌿
•
When we’re anxious or overwhelmed, our attention can become focused on “what if” thoughts, memories, or physical sensations. The 5-4-3-2-1 technique gives your brain a simple task that involves several senses.
•
This can:
~Help interrupt a cycle of worrying or overthinking.
~Direct your attention toward what is actually happening around you now.
~Make you more aware of your physical surroundings and body.
~Give you something concrete to focus on when emotions feel difficult to manage.
~Help create a sense of distance from distressing thoughts rather than getting completely absorbed in them.
•
It doesn’t necessarily make the difficult feeling disappear. Instead, the goal is more like “I’m feeling this, but I can notice what’s around me and stay connected to the present.”

🌱 Supporting Children & Young People Experiencing School Avoidance 🌱
•
Is your child or teenager finding school difficult to attend?
•
Are mornings becoming stressful, with anxiety, overwhelm, tears or physical symptoms making it hard to leave the house?
•
You’re not alone — and support is available.
I offer gentle, child-centred support for children and adolescents who are experiencing school avoidance, anxiety, overwhelm or difficulties around returning to school.
•
Through a calm, understanding approach, I can help your child:
🌿 Explore what may be making school feel difficult
🌿 Understand and manage anxious thoughts and emotions
🌿 Build confidence and emotional resilience
🌿 Develop coping strategies for overwhelming situations
🌿 Identify practical steps towards feeling more comfortable with school
🌿 Feel listened to, understood and supported without judgement
💛 Working alongside school
•
My support can work with my wellbeing therapy and other existing support, creating a joined-up approach around the young person.
•
Where appropriate, I can work with the child or adolescent, parents/carers and other professionals involved, helping everyone better understand their needs and identify supportive strategies.
•
The aim isn’t to simply tell a young person to “go back to school”. It’s about understanding what is behind the avoidance, supporting their wellbeing and helping them move forward at a pace that feels manageable.
•
If your child or teenager is struggling with school attendance, please get in touch to discuss how I may be able to help.

BREAK THE CYCLE. BUILD HEALTHIER HABITS. 🌿
•
Do you feel stuck in the same cycle of overthinking, anxiety, reassurance-seeking or habits that leave you feeling exhausted?
•
You’re not alone — and you don’t have to stay stuck.
•
I can help you understand the patterns keeping you caught in the cycle and support you in developing healthier, more helpful ways of responding.
•
Together, we can work on:
✨ Understanding your triggers and patterns
✨ Breaking unhelpful habits and routines
✨ Learning healthier ways to manage anxiety and uncertainty
✨ Building confidence in yourself and your decisions
✨ Creating practical habits that support your wellbeing
✨ Making progress at a pace that feels manageable for you
•
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start.
•
Small changes can create meaningful progress.
If you’re ready to step out of the cycle and create healthier habits, get in touch today. 💚
•
Progress, not perfection.

🐝 What luggage are you carrying?
•
We all carry things we were never meant to carry forever…
💭 Guilt
💭 Other people’s mistakes
💭 Expectations
💭 Past experiences
💭 Negativity
💭 The pressure to always be “okay”
•
Sometimes we become so used to carrying our emotional luggage that we forget we’re allowed to put some of it down.
•
🌿 Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting.
•It means recognising what no longer serves you, making space for what you need now, and learning to move forward with a little more lightness.
•
Just like looking after our physical health, letting go, processing our emotions and setting healthy boundaries are habits that support our wellbeing.
•
You don’t have to carry everything.
You don’t have to carry it alone.
And you don’t have to figure it all out at once. 💛
•
At BeeKind Wellbeing Service, I am here to help you gently unpack what you’ve been carrying, make sense of it, and find healthier ways to move through life.
🐝 Be kind to yourself.
Put down the luggage you don’t need to carry.

Focus on what you CAN control. 🌿💛
•
We can’t control what other people think, the past, the weather, or what happens around us.
•
But we can control our response, our boundaries, our effort, our focus and how we care for ourselves.
•
✨ Put your energy where it can make a difference.
✨ Let go of what isn’t yours to carry.
✨ Be kind to yourself along the way.
•
Focus on what you can control — and let the rest go. 🐝💛

A simple message can make a difference. 💛
•
Su***de Prevention Day is a reminder to check in on the people we care about — especially those we haven’t spoken to in a while.
•
Send that message. Make that call. Ask, “Are you okay?” and take the time to really listen.
•
Because sometimes, a smile doesn’t mean someone is okay. People can be struggling behind closed doors and still say, “I’m fine.”
•
You never know how much a simple “I’m thinking of you” could mean to someone.
•
Reach out. Check in. Listen. You could make a difference. 💛

💛 When your child is overwhelmed… they don’t always need us to fix it.
•
They need us to be with them.
When emotions are big, phrases like “Calm down” or “Stop crying” can sometimes make a child feel even more alone in what they’re experiencing.
•
Instead, try:
🌿 “I understand. You’re feeling so emotional right now.”🤍 “I’m here with you.”🫶 “You are safe.”💬 “It’s okay to feel upset. We can get through this together.”🌈 “You don’t have to handle this feeling on your own.”
•
You don’t have to have all the answers. You don’t have to make the feelings disappear.
Sometimes, your calm presence, gentle voice and reassurance are enough.
•
Connection before correction.Safety before solutions.Feelings before fixing. 💛
•
And remember, parents need this kindness too. You’re learning alongside your child — one moment at a time. 🌱
