How many calories do I need? How many grams of protein should I eat? How many times per week should I train?

These are all questions where the answer will be ‘it depends’.

The ‘it depends’ comes down to a multitude of different factors that are both lifestyle and genetic related.

So any time someone gives you a black and white answer to a question that has a ‘it depends’ answer, be aware, even what you want to hear is a black and white answer, that that answer almost certainly won’t be right for you.

This is what my online coaching is for, to find out what is right for you.

To help you navigate the contradicting fitness advice out there so you become the best version of yourself physically, masculinity and mindset.

Most guys I speak to want a sustainable healthy lifestyle and to build a good physique.

They are focused on becoming the best version of themselves and don’t like being mislead by gimmicks.

Neither do I. And frankly when people lie about steroid use well I don’t like it as they are benefiting from dishonesty. Though karma always comes around. You manifest the state of consciousness of deceit which will be your instant karma.

Anyway feel like I’m sort of ranting.

So I’ll stop.

👆My cut last year.

I’ve done some market research recently and one of the things that came back was to create more content around healthy habits.

Here are 5 habits that will actually help you to build your physique this year

FILM YOUR SETS

What are you ACTUALLY doing when you train? What you thought was good form might look sh*tty on camera. It might hurt your ego to lower the weight so you can reset the form, but it will help your physique in the long run.

TRACK YOUR LIFTS (LOG BOOK PROGRESSION)

The biggest key to my strength gain in the last year has been tracking the reps and sets of every exercise.
With arms I used to tag them in at the end of a session without tracking them and they didn’t grow. Now I track everything.

TRACK EVERYTHING

Steps, Sleep, protein intake, calories — you can overdue this stuff. What I really mean is get into the habit of tracking variables that are relevant to your progress. In my opinion it’s worth really knowing what is going into your body.
If gaining excess body fat is your sticking point, learn to track calories.
If holding onto muscle tissue while you diet is your sticking point, learn to accurately track protein.

STOP SNACKING
The worst mistake I made after my cut last year was getting into a snacking habit. I played havoc with my blood sugar and felt hungry all the time.
Eating 2-4 times a day will work best for most. You’ll have more predictable energy and be better at stabilising your blood sugar than if you are constantly spiking it by snacking.

PROTEIN WITH EVERY MEAL
Protein is the primary building block of muscle. Making sure it's included with each meal in some form will help you get regular protein  feedings into your bloodstream to keep protein synthesis (the process in which your cells make proteins) occurring on a regular basis.

All these variables are taught and can be implemented through my online coaching.

If you want know WHY your goal is truly important to you then dm me ‘why’ and we’ll get the conversation started.

PS. The moral of this story is not ’ Get in shape and you’ll feel confident talking to girls’

The moral of the story is actually ‘have the courage to be honest with yourself’

What identifying your ‘why’ really means is to be honest with yourself.

A lot of guys will say they want to ‘lose weight’ or ‘build muscle’ to ‘be healthy’

That might be part of the reason, but the real reason might appear shallower.

LIke, so they can feel confident talking to girls.

That doesn’t mean it is shallow though.

Admitting how you really feel, regardless of what others think is actually incredibly unshallow, and it is one of the things that can help to unlock potential that might have laid dormant.

So if you want to take your masculinity - physique and mindset to the next level then shoot me a message and we can get you on that call to help you discover why your goals are truly important to you.

In many ways the last two year of my life have been the hardest and the most challenging but also the most blessed because I was finally ready to go through them.

I pray your 2023 will not be an easy ride, but a ride that arms you with more tools than you ever thought you might need so you can become more than the man you ever felt you needed to be.

And within this be appreciative of the growth you have experienced.

In a world full of easy choices, I wish you take the hard choices and in doing so honour the highest version of yourself that you can become.

Here is to physical, spiritual, intellectual and life gains

Here is to treating others with respect as a reflection of the respect we show ourselves

He Lee is to always living in recognition of the fact that life isn’t happening to us, it’s happening for us

Here is to treating ourselves with tenderness when we fall off track, appreciating that the lessons are here to be learned again until we live them fully once and for all.

Here is not to clinging to past idealised versions of ourselves but stepping forwards in courage and creating the new

Here is to you
