MANAGER INTERVIEW: FARSLEY

Ahead of today’s game against Farsley, we caught up with Head Coach James.

James is feeling ready for the first away game of the season, expecting another good battle against Farsley.

“It’s usually a good battle and good to socialise with them after. First away game as well, so hopefully a nice trip for us!”

After being awarded the three points from the cancelled Sheffield Wednesday game, James was pleased to see the first win on the board, while also making use of the extra training session.

“It was great to get that first win on the board. Obviously not the way we expected, but it was a nice surprise and the lads felt good!”

James is expecting a physical game and believes the midfield could be key.

“I’m expecting a good physical battle. The midfield is where we’ll see the game won or lost, so it’s really key to make sure we are competitive in the middle and keep our shape.”

His message to the lads is simple: show hunger, support each other and stay focused from the first minute to the final whistle.

“Support each other and stay focused at all times, from minute 1 to the final whistle regardless of what the score is.”
