This is more for the coaches that follow me.
You're not a bad coach if you don't share transformation photos.
You’re also not a good coach if you do share them.
You’re a good coach if you ethically help your client improve health seeking behaviours.
If your client didn’t partake in resistance training regularly
but now they do..
Guess what, you’re a good coach.
Stop thinking you need to pump out photos of a person half naked to prove something.
Show up for your clients.
Be attentive, caring and helpful every single day.

Working harder on restriction is the worst thing you can do
Do this instead:
If you are obsessing over fat loss with the hopes of not binging
You have to see thats the reason as to why you are binging
The excessive exercise, relentless calorie restriction and lots of tracking numbers will inevitably rear its ugly head
It always does.
As Einstein said: Insanity is doing the same thing over and over with the same result
Take a step back, develop skills that give you the confidence to eat without rules.

Exercise saved my life.
8 years ago, social anxiety consumed me.
The thought of going to a packed place made me feel super uneasy.
The moment I stepped into a busy environment, my body would go into overdrive.
I couldn't shake off the feeling that everyone was looking at me.
This crippling anxiety held me hostage in my own home.
It was fear and dread—wrapped inside a box of terror.
This led me to drop out of university, leaving me with no prospects or direction.
I joined the gym.
Making a daily commitment to show up helped me overcome the rut of staying in bed all day.
Despite my best intentions, I found it difficult to make it to the gym.
Often, I would start walking there, only to turn around and head back home.
However..
Exercise offered a space where I could work on improving myself, feel empowered, and gain confidence.
It served as a safety net, catching me when I stumbled.
Life was going to s**t? Go for a run
Having financial troubles? Go to the gym
Family doing my head in? Go hit the heavy bag
It gave me the tools to overcome anything and for that I will always be grateful.
There’s no cures to this s**t, however there are so many things that can help.
Working out is a regular part of my life, but it’s not my only source of comfort and security.
I confronted the things that used to haunt me and I hope you can too.

I have been a personal trainer for 8 years, longer than any other profession I have had.
Throughout this time, I have come to realise that my clients have experienced a wider range of life events than I have.
They have gone through marriage, divorce, parenting, building and losing businesses, living in different countries, retirement, and coping with serious illnesses and loss of loved ones.
As a trainer, I have always aimed to be a supportive and empathetic listener for my clients
and to make their training sessions a positive and anticipated part of their week.
Although I may not have all the answers to their problems
I hope they feel comfortable enough to share their thoughts and feelings with me
or to simply have someone to provide a distraction and take their mind off of whatever they may be dealing with.

A partnership, not a dictatorship
The goal is to help people make decisions for themselves
I always say it, but my goal as a trainer is to guide a person in the right direction
The thing with a huge lifestyle change is that its more to do with how you deal with the cards you are dealt with daily
You aren’t going to be perfect everyday because life isn’t perfect
Sh*t will get in the way
My aim, is to provide you with the correct tools to overcome the sh*t that gets in the way

I almost quit personal training
6 months into my first personal training job, I was heading to the bank with tears in my eyes.
I was £1200 into my overdraft, my rent for the next month was coming out in a matter of days and I was earning 0 money.
My dream was to train people and make it a lifelong career.
I had purposely dropped out of university for my dream
That dream was crumbling before my eyes.
I pleaded with the bank to extend my overdraft, they laughed me out of the door.
I had to make a choice
A) Quit personal training
B) Get into further debt
I decided to wait it out and keep providing the best service I could
A month down the line I signed up 3 new clients, who then referred me 3 new clients and this snowballed
7 years later, I’ve helped hundreds of people
100 lives that may not have been impacted if I quit.
I didn’t quit because I have a duty to help bridge the gap of knowledge and application to those who need it.

4 years of personal training out of the best gym in the world as of today.
I can’t put into words how pivotal these guys have been in my growth as a trainer but more importantly as a human
4 years of my 7 year career spent in this gym is the stuff of dreams.
I will continue to build, represent and grow till we take over the world.
As always, I would like to express my gratitude to the gaffers, mentors and friends for constantly pushing me to be the best I can be.

Why I Do What I Do
People come to personal trainers frustrated, spinning their wheels, having tried and failed at
Achieving their goal
Or
Maintaining their goal
Or
Understanding the principles surrounding their goal
I see people drowning in the pool of
🚴♂️ Fitness
🔥 Fat loss
💪 Building muscle
and we, with the knowledge we possess as trainers are the ones who have the life jackets.
I aim to teach every single person who comes through the door how to make this a part of their lifestyle forever
When we accomplish what we set out (me and the client) it is the most rewarding feeling
Because I know how hard people work and I understand the sacrifices people make
