Delivered by Inverclyde Leisure on behalf of Inverclyde Council, the ASN Enhanced Playscheme runs alongside the mainstream Summer Playscheme, providing enhanced support for children with identified additional support needs.

With experienced staff, enhanced staff-to-child ratios and a fun, welcoming environment, children can enjoy a summer filled with activities, new friendships and opportunities to build confidence.

Looking to help your child build confidence in the water this summer?

Our Summer Intensive Swim Lessons at the Waterfront Leisure Complex are the perfect way to fast-track progress during the school holidays. Whether they're taking their very first splash or looking to improve technique and develop existing skills, we have a course to suit every stage of their swimming journey.

✅ 5 x 30-minute group lessons

✅ Beginner to advanced levels
✅ Build confidence, technique & water safety
✅ Delivered by our qualified Swim Academy instructors

Courses run throughout the summer holidays, with five weeks available to choose from.

Temporary Car Park Restrictions at Waterfront Leisure Complex

On Tuesday 9th June, a crane lift operation will take place at the Waterfront as part of ongoing works to install a new ice plant for our ice rink.

To allow this work to be carried out safely, there will be temporary restrictions in place within a section of the car park throughout the day. Barriers, signage and traffic management measures will be in operation.

🚗 Please allow a little extra time for your journey and follow all signage and staff instructions when arriving at the centre.

🏊‍♀️ The Waterfront Leisure Complex will remain open as normal, and all activities, swimming lessons, gym sessions and bookings will continue as scheduled.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience while these essential improvement works are carried out.

Looking for a fun, low-impact way to stay active? Join us for Aqua Fit at the iconic Gourock Pool and enjoy a full-body workout in the water while taking in one of Scotland's most unique swimming venues.

Customer Notice – Main Pool Closure

Please be advised that the Main Pool at Waterfront Leisure Complex will be closed on:

Sunday 7th June
1:30pm – 4:00pm

This closure is required to accommodate the Port Otters Swimming Gala.

As a result, the Inflatable Session scheduled for Sunday afternoon will not take place.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding. We wish all swimmers taking part in the gala the very best of luck.

Our Summer Intensive Skate Courses at Waterfront Ice Rink are the perfect way to make rapid progress in just one week! Led by our British Ice Skating-qualified coaches, these fun and structured courses are suitable for beginners right through to more experienced skaters.

🚨 Important Event Update 🚨

Inverclyde Triathlon 2026

It is with great disappointment that we have to announce that the Inverclyde Triathlon will not take place in 2026.

After 19 years of welcoming competitors from across Scotland and beyond, the event has been cancelled due to updated road management requirements relating to the cycling element of the race.

We know this news will be hugely disappointing for those who had signed up, supported or planned to take part, and we would like to thank everyone for their understanding.

All registered competitors have now been contacted directly regarding their options, including:

✅ Transfer to the Adult Aquathlon with a partial refund
✅ Request a full refund

The good news is that the Adult Aquathlon will still go ahead as planned on Sunday 23 August, and we will be releasing additional places to accommodate increased demand.

The Aquathlon consists of:
🏊 24-length swim
🏃 5km run

For team entrants, a new two-person Team Aquathlon option will also be available.

We recognise the disappointment and frustration this announcement may cause. After 19 successful years, cancelling the Inverclyde Triathlon was not a decision we wanted to make and one that has only been taken after exhausting all available options.

While circumstances beyond our control mean the event cannot proceed in its traditional format, we hope many competitors will still join us for the Aquathlon event this summer.
