Yesterday was , this is a post of appreciation to not just GKs I’ve had the chance of working with however to all keepers of all ages.
A position that requires mental toughness, knowing that any mistake is scrutinised & afterwards can feel quite alone. But to bounce back producing quality saves, top distribution, constant communication or strong bravery is the highest of highs of our position.
To the all keepers that continue being the last line of defence, keep it up🙌🧤

We are delighted to announce that former Greenock Morton FC player Andy Ritchie will be present on Sunday 3rd May at our Finals Night to hand over the trophy to the winning side.
🗣️Ritchie who is widely regarded as Morton’s greatest player of all time had a fantastic career which spanned across 6 different clubs which also included Celtic & Motherwell, & head scouting roles at clubs such as Aston Villa. Andy moved to Morton from Celtic in 1976, where he had his best spell of his career making 213 league appearances & scored 100 goals for the Ton. When he departed Morton for a fee of £35,000, he left with the title which many still refer to him now “The King Of Cappielow”
We look forward to having a Greenock Morton legend on hand in a few weeks & thank him for his time!

📣GAMEWEEK 7 ANNOUNCEMENT📣
This weeks fixture lineup is sponsored by local food ordering platform CLYDE EATS, however they do so much more. From running friendly competitions for the community, to supporting fundraisers & finally sponsoring many things across inverclyde, our competition being one of many.
Apart of this gameweek, owner Janine Brennan will be in attendance this weekend to not only give an insight to Clyde Eats but to participate in something a bit different.
Introducing SAVE & SUPPORT. Clyde Eats are used to saving you money, but this week Janine will be participating in a 3 penalty challenge, against 3 of our league GKs. For any penalty that is saved they will be donating £50 per save to the league & also to local charity & fellow sponsor The Anchor.
We’d like to thank Janine for her contribution to not just the competition but Inverclyde as a whole🤝
