Football bookings update 17th September 2020
With the further easing of restrictions by the Scottish Government, Inverclyde Leisure is now able to offer a limited amount of use of the 3G pitches at Battery Park and Parklea for recreational football.
From Monday 28th September we will be accepting bookings for 7’s at the Booking Office on 01475 213131 or [email protected]
The Booking Office will not be open to the public therefore no cash payments will be accepted. (Please note opening hours are 9 – 3pm Mon – Friday).
We can also confirm that the Inverclyde Council Schools pitch estate opening hours will be extended from 28th September and will now accept bookings from local adult clubs and recreational football participants. (subject to availability).
Please note that some of the school estate will not be available between October and December due to essential maintenance.
From Thursday 1st October we will also be accepting bookings at Lady Octavia. Bookings can be made by calling the Booking Office.
Only two 7’s pitches per site will be available at any one time to maintain sufficient distance between participants. All bookings must be paid for at the time of booking.
Please note, there may not be a staff member on site at the pitch after initial opening process, clubs/users will be responsible for the management of their booking.
3G pitch hire costs: 2020/21
Adult 11’s £74 per hour
Adult 7’s £43 per hour
Juvenile 11’s £46 per hour
Juvenile 7’s £26 per hour

The named person making the booking will be nominated as the COVID19 officer. They must ensure that they take a register of all participants to help support ‘Track and Trace’ should it be required. (Acceptance of a booking relies on this and is non negotiable and must be adhered to)
Individual groups must know their arrival time and should wait in an agreed meeting point before entering the pitch.
Participants must adhere to all social distancing guidelines when arriving at the pitch.
Groups must enter the pitch and move directly to the designated area.
All groups must clear the pitch 15 minutes before the next group enters.
Please be aware that there will be no changing or toilet facilities available.
Participants should conduct themselves as if they were a club, and conform to the SFA guidance.
To avoid any doubt, the current ratios in place are:
7 aside games – 14 participants and 3 coaches
5 aside games – 10 participants and 2 coaches
On completion of your booking all participants must leave the pitch as quickly as possible and not congregate around the gates or entrance.

Customer Notice: Facilities Closure COVID-19
Inverclyde Leisure has taken the difficult decision to suspend all services and activities to the public from close of business on Wednesday 18th March.
The safety of our customers and staff is at the forefront of this decision. It is expected that this closure will continue until the end of April, however this will be continually monitored and reviewed in line with government guidelines.
This closure is across all leisure & community facilities both indoor and outdoor and applies to all facilities that Inverclyde Leisure operates.
What does this mean for the customer:
• All Membership categories will be frozen by IL with no fees.
• Customers do not require to take any action regarding their Membership.
• Swimming lessons, Skating lessons and Learn to climb direct debits will be automatically frozen with no fees.
• Regular bookings & Regular Lets will be retained when the facilities re-open.
• Any prepaid Memberships or Block bookings will be extended on a case by case basis.
** Please note all membership freezes will incur no additional charges and will be automatically re-instated when the facilities re-open**

Parks & Pitches Update - Friday 13th March
All football is cancelled this weekend therefore, Parklea, Broomhill, Gourock Park, Battery Park facilities will be closed.
At present, Athletics on Saturday, Rugby at Parklea and Scottish Athletics Road Race at Battery Park on Sunday are still on. This may change if there are further directives from Scottish Government, Scottish Rugby and Scottish Athletics.
