A great end to our 25/26 seasons for our u12’s yesterday in a very competitive and high action game with our friends at Louth Town that finished 3-3.
Lots of action until the very final seconds, against a talented team who always behave impeccably on and off the pitch.
Our players of the match went to Sam and Jenson, well done boys.
Up the Sporting!!

Our u12 Vipers headed to Humberston on Sunday to play high flying Grimsby Borough Panthers who sat pretty at the top of the Blue League with an amazing 100% record.
With only 10 players available we knew we would be up against it, we started slow and had our backs to the wall for the first 10 minutes with Panthers causing us big problems with their pace but the boys dug in and worked extremely hard to keep ourselves in the match. We played our way into the game and started to play some nice football whilst creating some good half chances of our own which just didn’t quite break for our forwards - we came in at the break 0-0.
The lads maintained their work rate in the 2nd half but kept our shape a lot better - we made a few minor adjustments to our tactics and looked a lot more comfortable both on and off the ball. Panthers kept knocking on the door with corners and long range strikes but we always looked a threat on the counter ourselves. It was on the counter that our MOTM Harry produced a moment of strength and magic to score a goal that even Mr Haaland would have been proud of.
At 1 nil up we had tickled the Bear (or Panthers in this case) and they kept coming forward but without really getting in behind our resilient back line and when they did the brilliant Jenson (GK) just did enough to stem their attack. The pressure was mounting and Panthers got their deserved equaliser after a goal mouth scramble.
We kept playing our football and after a nervy ending we held on a for a well deserved 1-1 draw.
These boys really deserve their plaudits, always turning up with a positive attitude and their work rate is 2nd to none.
Our Coaches award went to the whole team and our Parents award went to Harry.
Well done lads - we’re very proud of you. UTV⚽️

Fab end to the year for our u12’s - Escape Rooms followed by pizza, a crazy last minute winner to make it 7-6, Christmas training and a trip to Old Trafford to look forward to next summer.
Well done boys, it’s not been an easy season but you’ve all worked extremely hard to turn things around in the last 6 weeks with some great performances.
Merry Christmas everyone 🧑🎄 🌲 ⚽️

After conceding an unfortunate own goal in the early minutes of the first half the boys kept their heads and battled to half time in what was a close half of football.
In the 2nd half Sporting took over and were the better team but we just couldn’t get that goal…. Until the very last minute when Jacob M smashed home a great finish. Game on, let’s get the winner.
After 6 added minutes of extra time our opponents got a fortuitous goal and won the game in the final seconds. More heartache & despair for our boys…. and Parents. 😩
When you’re on a losing streak, the decisions and luck seem to go against you and it’s takes a lot of courage to keep turning up each week with the right attitude.
We’ll always be extremely proud of our u12’s but we are very much so at the moment.

Keep smiling boys 💪🏻

Our u12’s travelled the short distance to Cleethorpes yesterday for our league game against promotion challengers Clee Town.
Having only lost 1 game all season we knew this was going to be a tough afternoon for our Vipers and with one of our key players pulling out late in the day due to injury we were certainly up against it.
We did have a gameplan however and it worked a treat for the first 15 minutes, the boys really took onboard how we asked them to play. We got 2 quick fire goals to get a 2 nil lead but we felt it was almost too early in the game and knew Clee would come on strong. They got 1 back with a great strike from their number 9 and sadly in true Vipers style our heads went down and the floodgates opened somewhat.
2nd half was a closer affair but we only really created one good chance. Clee thoroughly deserved their win, a technical and very well drilled side.
We’ll take the positives from the game, there are new things for the boys to work on which we’ll always take as a positive to help them develop.
Well done to our players of the day:-
Lucas - looked a threat all game and got his 2 goals. Great attitude, he is a coach’s dream, never any bother and always plays the game the right way.
Jacob M - absolute rock at the back in a position he doesn’t particularly enjoy. We needed his pace back there and he was involved in the game throughout, making some important blocks and tackles.
It’s been a tough season so far but we’ll stay positive and look forward to our bottom of the table clash next Sunday against Laceby. 💪🏻

Busy weekend of football for our u12’s after a week off.
On Saturday we had our 3v3 and on Sunday we narrowly missed out with a tight 2-1 defeat to Catenaccio JFC who deserved their win with a strong 2nd half performance. Great attitude from both teams and coaches which was a pleasure to watch.
We’re improving game by game, we’ll keep working hard in training and hopefully that first win of the season is just around the corner 🤞🏻
Well done boys
