⚽🏆 The Warriors played at the Pitchside Football - Tournaments & Events at the stadium tournament in Barton today and what a day 🌞🌞

We had a great start to the tournament and the boys battled today and played good football 👏⚽

We played in a 3rd place play off and deserved the win with a penalty at the end of the game 👏⚽

Well done Warriors and big Well done to Harry T winning the player of the tournament, should all be proud 💪⚽

Trainer of the week this week is Fin!

Fin trained hard, followed instructions, and listened to the coaches ⚽ 👏

Fin showed determination during the game at the end of the session and tried different positions. He made tackles, passes to his team mates, and got shots on target. 👏⚽

Rooney was chosen as player's player of the match, He worked extremely hard for his team again. Jimmy made strong tackles, driving forward with the ball down that wing and either putting the ball in the back of the net or crossing the ball into the danger area. Jimmy was involved in the action and was full of energy, and managed to get on the scoresheet scoring an hatrick. Great performance Rooney 👏⚽

Oscar was chosen as the Man of the match, He worked extremely hard for his team. Oscar was up and down that pitch, full of energy, made some strong tackles, whipping some great balls in the box, and involved in 2/3 combinations. Oscar is growing in confidence and becoming to use his voice alot more. Great performance Fabregas 👏⚽

Oakley worked extremely hard for his team, non stop running, communicating with his team mates, linking up with his team mates, and physical. Oakley was calm on the ball and always looking up for a pass. Oakley was involved in the action and played a number of different positions and was unlucky not to get a goal. A great training session from the Warriors, they all did great 💪

Trainer of the week this week was our Number 1! During the drills, he was making finger tips saves, making himself big, diving all over the place, catching the ball, he was fantastic and protected his goal after some great shots at him 👏⚽

Last night we had a visit from our little man Freddie. Freddie had a traumatic accident 😢 which has left him not being able to play football for a while. It was great to see him and present him with the new Grimsby Town kit and sweets of course, from the Warriors. Speedy recovery little Warrior ⚽🔴⚪

Last night, from the get go, the full team was on it, we played good football, communicated with each other, going forward as a team and defended as a team. They all worked extremely hard and was a well deserved win. They deffo been taking things on board what we have been learning at training 👏⚽

We continue working hard as a team boys and onto the next ⚽ We hold our heads up boys and keep improving 💪
