Weekly roundup!

Monday saw the team training at Humberston, working on a variety of things, we kicked off with a small tactical session looking at some set ups for the coming season following on with corner work!

Friday night over at Mount Pleasant I was joined by just 3 players, given the numbers it was all about finishing, unopposed, under pressure, dealing with difficult deliveries & getting that half yard to a shot off at goal!

Sunday, no fixture for us today but a shoutout to Coach Paul SMASHING a half marathon over in Beverley on quite a hilly course finishing in 2hours dead!💪

Well done everyone some quality work on display this week! Roll on tomorrow 💪

MATCHDAY!

Today the team took on Polar Green Ice!

The game was great to watch from the sidelines with both teams battling and some brilliant individual battles around the pitch!

As always, the message was to enjoy the game and play OUR football, the team came out the blocks fast heaping pressure on Polar!

2 first half goals from Toby & Oakly, along with clever saves from Harley the team came in at the break 2-0 to the good!

Second half, Polar got back into the game, and slotted home two neat goals (one from a corner! Something we’ve been working on!!)

Romeo broke the line and went 1v1 with the Polar keeper, putting the ball inside the post for a neat finish!

Polar kept pushing for an equaliser eventually was rewarded with it 10mins before the end of the game!

Shots from Oakly, Lily & Romeo tested the polar keeper with both teams looking for a winner, full time saw the game end 3-3, a fair result for both teams!

Parents Player, Romeo, first game for the warriors today, Romeo looked like getting at the defensive every time he picked the ball up, using his pace to push around defenders, hopefully will be a great addition to the team! 💪

Coaches Player, Jet, combined effort over a few games for me, Jet has come into his own commanding the right back position, he’s taking what we are doing during training and is able to apply that into games! Keep up the great work!

As coaches, we know this teams got more to give & we can’t wait to get them firing on all cylinders! 💪💪

New Season, New Challenges, Same Objective!

We kick off our new season in September this season sees new challenges with teams we’ve not faced before!

The message from us will be the same! Go play, Go enjoy it & the rest will follow!

GAME DAY!

We knew that today’s game was going to be a bit of a test & by god they did well!

The game was evens at half time but unfortunately losing players and having to have a shift around we let Athletic play.

Super proud of the players took to the game and responded from last weekends match!

Players of the day, Coaches goes to Lily & Oakly, couldn’t separate those two, both played hard on and off the ball with Lily slotting home a penalty & playing a could have different positions. Oaklys positivity on and off the ball today was super causing a headache!

Parents player, Harley, kept the score line modest with some cracking saves, always hard on Harley as we know he can play better!

Plenty of positives from today and really looking forward to seeing what this lot can do when then Gel and get going!

This weekend the warriors take on athletics in an all Boro clash!

This will be a great test of the players facing off against a strong Athletics team! 💪

I don’t mind if the team gets out played, I mind if they get out worked! 💪🔥
