A huge well done to Tronox, who played their little socks off tonight. A great game to watch, and even from the sidelines it was a tense one!

And a massive congratulations to our entire team, who have finished top of the division!

We had our last game of the Winter League on Monday! We finished happily with a win and are now just awaiting the final verdict from the leadership board! - fingers crossed for second place as Tin Jug🤞🏻 🥈

As for Monday’s game, we won against WC with a respectable 11 goals to their 9 🤙🏻

There were lots of swivels and spins for TJ after catching the ball to re-centre and regain control. The opposing team, WC had fearless speed and their grip was as strong as their brake.

All in all it was evenly matched with fantastic shooting from Linda and Kirsty, and our GD, Maddie got player of the game!

Shout outs go to Nicole for running determinedly for the ball, Christine for her passion and drive, Chloe for balancing and catching well, Sarah for being reliable and observant, Jas for her team spirit and commitment, and to the rest of the team that couldn’t make it Monday but were supportive from the backdrop (and of course for playing the other games): Albany, Kirsty!

It might have been a very windy Tuesday night, but well played girls, bagging a nice little 15-9 Win! Massive thanks to Emma and Lucy for helping us out at short notice too

What an intense game last night! The conditions were challenging from the start with ice on the court and frozen hands, but it was nice to play under the stars!

We were losing by 11-6 by the third quarter but we found a new determination to bring it back in the last quarter. We brought in 5 more goals making it an even 11-11 and it was looking like we could turn it around completely! The time was drawing to an end but we had to keep going; we just needed one more goal! Unfortunately the other team scored again taking back the score to 12-11. We kept trying but they snuck in another making it 13-11. It wasn't looking good but the whistle hadn't been blown yet! Taking on the pressure, our GA managed to net one more ball just before the whistle blew!

The final score was 13-12 to the opposing team but we gave it some! Made all the better with an after match pub visit to celebrate the holidays!

Merry Christmas everyone and thanks for staying posted this winter league! There'll be a couple more games in January but I believe this was the last of this year!

Unfortunately no win tonight but good game played never the less with a respectable 15-20 .. we did however have a lovely afternoon at the Christmas Lincoln market at the weekend 🏐🎄☕🍸☃️🎅🤶🎄🎄
