Keelby United Tigers U12s

11/10/2026

Good weekend for us this weekend even if we did make hard work of Saturday. Saturday we bossed the cup match but just couldn’t find the killer instinct we needed. 1 goal wasn’t enough to get the win and fair play to broughton who always stayed in the game. Cup Game to pens and we found ourselves on the right side of them this time. Today we dusted ourselves down and went to an early reverse fixture against Nettleham who beat us a couple of weeks ago, today was the real Keelby, fight, grit determination and some very good passing football. 4-1 win on the road and for once no complaints from me! Hopefully more of the same to come! Shoutout to all the lads but Saturdays managers player went to Bobby sponsored by JTcoaching for a brilliant peno save and commanding his box all game well. Jack stringer sponsored by ProGen Services and Mary Cavill for a true captains performance best have seen him play in a long time (until today when he was even better). Parents player went to AJ sponsored by Rasen Cycle and mobility for a physical battle and great distribution. A real cb display.
Today’s manager players went to Stringer again for a complete display, unreal and not enough adjectives to do him justice. Fin Inkson sponsored by JM Heating Ltd for a true holding midfielder shift picking up the pieces and using the ball well giving cover when needed. Parents player went to Luca sponsored by Apex Property Services for a complete striker display, physical, strong and aggressive and a very smart early finish to get us going. Happy weekend for me, hopefully more to come! UTT! ⚽️🟢🐯

Back to it this weekend with the boys taking on Broughton ravers in the cup at home today 10am ko for those needing their footy fix and then away against Nettleham hoping to put on a real display against them this time compared to our last showing. Hopefully the lads are at it this weekend and we can finally come away with two wins! UTT 🟢⚽️🐯

Yesterday saw us take on a physical and well prepared GCW side. Recently we haven’t been anywhere near what we can but yesterday we were but when you are lacking form you also lack a bit of luck and as well as we played we found ourselves on the end of a 1-0 loss after a wonder strike near the end. Hitting the woodwork numerous times, 2 outrageous saves from their keeper and creating several chances but we just couldn’t find the net. That said in spells we were absolutely brilliant and I have no doubt we will play far far worse and win, credit to GCW on their win, sure they won’t be far off at the end of the season and when at the fortress later in the year we will hopefully get the result. A loss but a positive one and now the football gods owe us one in my opinion.
Shoutout to coaches player sponsored by JTcoaching Bobby, Dave was buzzing with Bobby’s distribution and playing out and commanded his box really well.
Managers player and parents went to Jack Gibson sponsored Gibson’s Home and Garden Jack was a menace from minute one, played all over the park and caused GCW no end of issues throughout the match a really strong performance. Well done!
Next week we are back to 2 games with Broughton and Nettleham. UTT! ⚽️🐯🟢

Another frustrating one for the tigers yesterday. We need to learn that we have to work as hard as the opposition and cut out individual errors to be able to compete and the first half saw us 3-0 down and to be honest should have been more. After a half time roasting the lads showed that they can compete with the best and gave a much better account of themselves and with Jack grabbing a last minute worldie the game finished 3-1. I just wish they had competed for the full match but credit to Greenbank who fully deserved their win and have some really talented individuals. Not much to shout about but shout to our best player on the day, a man possessed and someone who didn’t deserve to be on the losing team. Ainsley - sponsored by Keelby Fish & Chips and Nigel Cavill just me. Also I gave Ruebs sponsored by Keelby Fish and Chips and ScarlettP Racing #28 a man of the match award for his fine half time display at right back, great attitude shown and a will to win! Finally parents player went to Bobby sponsored by JTcoaching who pulled off some wonderful saves second half and commanded his box so well. Hopefully we can turn this corner and realise football isn’t always pretty. UTT! 🟢🐯⚽️

Yesterday was a much better day for the Tigers and showed them what they can really do. We started brightly and this continued throughout the first half and found ourselves playing some dominant stuff. The second half we dropped off a bit but still kept the ball well and did more than what we needed to. Into the next round of the cup and hopefully something to build on. Special mention to Luca for an absolute ridiculous rabona goal which will certainly be up there for goal of the month.

Parents player - Ainsley, sponsored by Keelby Fish & Chips and “Just Me” Nigel Cavill Ains had the bit between his teeth, aggressive in the centre of the park and linked up very well with his team mates a really solid enjoyable performance.

Managers players - had two. Rowan, sponsored by TDLFootballCoaching played a different role today as cb and absolutely bossed it, played out from the back, strong in tackle and a proper talking performance, was a joy to watch.

Second was Theo sponsored by ScarlettP Racing #28 and Cally Siman and Digger. Theo played number 10 today and was back to his best, some killer threw balls, clever flicks and several pinches in key areas high up the pitch, best I have seen him play in a long time and hopefully it continues.

Today is a real tough test for the tigers which we are really looking forward too!
UTT! 🟢⚽️🐯

This weekend is the return of the scunny league starting in the cup, we are away Marshalls looking to see if we can find our rhythm again and with a full squad there will be no room for hiding. Sunday sees us back at home for a 12:30 ko, hoping to start our Lincs league campaign properly against a very talented and hard working team in Andrew Lowins Greenbank Athletico! Hopefully this weekend will be known as the return of the Tigers! UTT! 🟢⚽️🐯

💚⚽️ KEELBY SPORTS FUND ⚽️💚

This season, we’ve already helped two of our players access specialist sports glasses because we believe no child’s football should be affected by their vision. 👓⚽️

We’re committed to being inclusive and ensuring every child feels welcome, valued and supported, whatever their circumstances, abilities or needs. Everyone should have the opportunity to take part, enjoy the game and reach their potential. 💚

The process is simple:

👓 A genuine need for sports glasses is identified.
💚 We look at the individual circumstances and the player’s commitment.
🙌 If we feel support is appropriate, our volunteers fundraise specifically for those glasses.

There isn’t a pot of money waiting to be claimed we fundraise for the specific need.

We can’t promise every request will be funded, but where there is a genuine need, we’ll listen, consider it and do what we can to help.

Because every child deserves the chance to see clearly, play confidently, feel included and enjoy their football. 💚⚽️
