It’s that time of year again. Fantasy Premier League. £10 entry, £5 to winning pot, £5 to team pot. Gavin Padbury is current champion (pains me an incredible amount to say) but he has had a tough couple of days with Eddie Howe leaving, let’s hit him whilst we can! Last night saw us take on our good friends and talented team in Hessle Rangers at the fortress in our final game before I go on my scouting mission in Turkey 👀🤣. With players playing in various positions due to other lads being away, it was going to be a tough one. The lads started quick off the blocks, popped the ball around well and looked dangerous going forward, that said we did let Hessle in a few times but that was mainly down to them playing well. The build up play and great decision making up
top continued throughout the night as did some wonderful finishes and goals scored. At half time I spoke about trying to shut up shop a little bit, work even harder off the ball and make it harder for Hessle to break us down which I think we certainly did. Great game and great result for the boys and I know they could see their hard work had paid off. Managers player went to Ollie, played rb and was solid, played cb and kept his shape so well and talked his mates through the game. Even up top as a target man, linking his wingers into the game was a joy to see and refreshing to see him play with such confidence! Parents player (they didn't even do!) sorry went to the whole team for a great all round performance. Hopefully that is the standard we shall see when the season arrives! ⚽️🟢🐯

Today was the end of the tournament season and again the heartache of pens was to cost us especially after only starting to play late on, I could take this 100%. However, with just 9 players, no keeper, in the heat we gave a good account of ourselves and had some fun as we always do! Proud of my tigers, well done. Shoutout to Fin who received joint managers player today for stepping up in goal and being the warrior he is! Then to joint managers player and parents player jack Gibson. In my opinion, he was as good as any other player there today, unbelievable in front of goal and constant menace all day. Well done again lads. Friendly Wednesday then a couple of weeks off before we start the real fun!

Quiet on here last couple of weekends! Super busy time! So last two tournaments, some great football on display very solid at the back and some great goals scored but same scenario. Finalists and just couldn’t get the result we needed. What I am happy with is the progression and the consistency of reaching top level finals even if it isn’t always the outcome we want. Few bits going on over next couple of weeks so keep your eyes peeled for signing day! ⚽️🟢🐯
