RESULTS | Lincolnshire Disability County Cup & Plate π
A historic day for our Ability Counts teams, with one of our teams progressing to the finals of both the Plate and the Cup for the first time in the Lincolnshire Disability County Cup & Plate competitions π€π€
π County Plate β Morning Session
We had three teams competing in the Plate competition. The group stages were extremely tight, with teams trading wins throughout.
Our GTACFC Reds showed great resilience and consistency to finish 2nd in their group, just one point behind the group winners, with third place only one point behind them. With only the top two teams progressing, the Reds did enough to book their place in the finals π
π County Cup β Afternoon Session
In the afternoon, we had two teams competing in the Cup competition. Both squads were heavily depleted, with players stepping up a level, so expectations were understandably modest.
β’ GTACFC Whites were drawn into a real group of death against some very strong opposition. The challenge proved too great on the day, but the effort and commitment shown was outstanding.
β’ GTACFC Blacks started strongly, winning their first three games while playing some great football. Despite losing their final group game, they topped the group and secured progression to the finals πͺ

This Sunday sees the return of the Lincolnshire Disability Plate and Cup competitions for its 3rd year. All 5 of our ability counts teams will be taking part in both competitions throughout the day.
The format for the competitions is that for each of the competitions there will be two groups, each team will play each other in their respective groups, with the top two teams progressing through to the finals day later in the season.
Last season our Premiership squad (GTACFC Blacks) made it all the way to the final missing out on the Cup on penalties, and the previous year making it to the semi final. Lets hope then can go one step further this year and bring home the π.
We would like to wish all our teams the best of luck for Sunday!

GTACGC Black
After a shaken start to the season last tournament GTACFC had a full strength side out with a point to prove. The Blacks won every game dominating possession and being very clinical in from of goal. The title retention is back on.
GTACFC White
A difficult day for our newly promoted side from the Championship division with them loosing all 3 game they are facing a tough battle this season. Despite the results the team did create chances built just could not convert them. They should have won their game against Barton Inclusive, but Luck was just not on their side. Lots of positives to take from the day into the next tournament.
League 1 Division
Barton Inter 0β1 GTACFC Red
GTACFC Red 0β2 Bottesford Tow

GTACFC 0β1 Barton Hull
GTACFC Red
Grimsby Town produced a spirited set of performances, opening with a disciplined win over Barton Inter before falling 2β0 to a clinical Bottesford side. They showed resilience to earn a 1β1 draw with Lincoln United and pushed hard in a narrow final defeat to Barton Hull. Finishing with one win, one draw, and two close losses, Grimsby impressed with strong defending and tidy link-up play but will look to be more ruthless in front of goal
League 2 Division
GTACFC Yellow 2-0 GTACFC Grey
Boston United 3-0 GTACFC Grey
GTACFC Gary 2-1 v Bottesford Town
GTACFC Grey1-1 Lincoln United

GTACFC Grey
Our team showed great determination earning a well deserved 2-1 win and a hard fought 1-1 draw. However we did suffer a 2-0 and 3-0 defeat to strong opposition. We created plenty of chances in every match and earned valuable experience that will help us tighten up the defence.
GTACFC Yellow
This Sunday marked the beginning for Grimsby Town Ability Counts Yellow. After a nervy start in the first game against Lincoln United, the Yellows edged a narrow 0-1 deafeat to Lincoln United. In the teamsβ second game they looked for redemption against our other Grimsby Town side in an all Grimsby tie. The game finished 2-0 to the Yellows. This sparked a great run which saw the Yellows victorious in their next two games, finishing strongly beating both Bottersford Town and Boston United 2-0 to end the day with Three wins and one loss for the Yellows. This ended a brilliant day with team spirit and cohesion sky-high.
