What a year it’s been for the squad — final league position still to be confirmed, but a guaranteed Top 3 finish has capped off a fantastic season for the boys. 👏

An incredible achievement seeing THREE Phoenix players finish in the league’s Top 10 scorers 💥 showing the quality, hard work and togetherness this group has built all year long.

Please note that all Grimsby Phoenix sessions are now OFF until 12th June while the sports hall is carpeted for exam season.

We know this is frustrating, but we appreciate everyone’s understanding and support during this period.

🔥 HOWEVER… we still have our MAY HALF TERM CAMPS running! 🔥

Coach Jude was impressed by Alfie’s work ethic and shooting, listening to coaches instructions Alfie has become a very reliable scorer. Using recently learned shooting techniques to his benefit.

What an amazing festival of basketball 🏀

A huge thank you to all the teams Hull Stingers Basketball Club, Lincoln Lightning Junior, City of Lincoln Basketball Club, Howden Warhorses Basketball Club and Grimsby Phoenix Basketball Club, players, coaches, and parents and our Offcials, for what turned out to be a long but truly phenomenal afternoon of basketball. The day was packed with development, with the kids learning, progressing, and putting weeks and months of training into practice.

This is exactly what it’s all about, a fantastic community coming together to support young athletes and the game of basketball.

Congratulations to Sam from Hull Stingers Basketball Club on being the overall tournament MVP

Phoenix had two teams competing:
Team 1 came incredibly close, just pipped at the post by Howden in a brilliant effort.

Team 2, made up of very new and raw players, embraced the challenge—learning through play and developing massively over the course of the day.

In a U13 tournament, we had players as young as 9 stepping up, giving away up to 3 years—and it’s a true testament to their character that they battled right to the very end.
