Our freinds at the NEL Alzheimer's Society are running a free support programme in September for carers and people supporting friends and family with dementia.

📆 Workshop dates: 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th Sept

The workshops will:

✅ Help you to understanding dementia
✅ Support and care for a person with dementia
✅ Guide you to support services that are available
✅ Help you to plan for the future

Congratulations to our Member of the Month... 🥁🥁 Anthony! 🎉 In the last three years Anthony has seen incredible results with his diabetes through exercise, diet and medication:
✅ Weight loss of 20kg;
✅ Reduced BMI from 29 to 25;
✅ No longer requiring insulin

His story also shows that exercise doesn't have to feel like a chore, it can be something you enjoy, sharing quality time with his son William 🏊🏊‍♀️

🙏 What an incredible day

Yesterday's cardiac screening event was a huge success - over 100 people screened thanks to the amazing team from Cardiac Risk in the Young.

This event was held in loving memory of Josephine Chatterton, who tragically died suddenly. Out of that heartbreak, her family, led by mum Monica, turned their grief into action - raising the funds that made this vital screening possible, so other families might be spared the same loss. 💛

Huge thanks to everyone who came along to be screened, taking that step for your heart health matters.

Mission Accomplished! 🇬🇧🏊‍♀️ 🇫🇷 Massive well done to The Backstroke Boys for completing their channel swim relay (55km) in an amazing 11 hours 45 minutes!

The team conquered the darkness, rough seas, jelly fish, cramp and sea sickness in their epic journey. 🐙🌊
