20 people.

20 people who could have stayed at home.
20 people who could have found an excuse.
20 people who could have said, “I’ll start next week.”

Instead, they turned up.

Tonight’s Iron Rounds wasn’t about perfect technique, fitness levels, or who hit the hardest.

It was about grit.

It was about digging in when your shoulders were burning, your lungs were screaming, and the timer seemed to be moving in slow motion.

What makes me proud isn’t the punches or the sweat.

It’s seeing people from all walks of life stand side by side and refuse to quit.

Some are chasing weight loss.
Some are chasing fitness.
Some are chasing confidence.
Some are simply proving to themselves that they’re capable of more than they think.

And every single one of them showed up and put the work in.

That’s what Iron Rounds is about.

No egos.
No excuses.
Just hard work and good people.

20 people.
A lot of sweat.
A lot of laughs.
And a whole lot of grit.

Built different. Built together.

As the dust settles, the muscle soreness goes, but the lessons the team learned from this weekend will last a lifetime

The Reckoning: Face The Fire is over.

And honestly, I’m exhausted, proud, grateful and already reflecting on what an incredible weekend it turned out to be.

Months ago this event was just an idea.

A challenge designed to test people physically and mentally.

No fancy equipment.
No gimmicks.
Just bodyweight, determination and the willingness to keep moving when things got uncomfortable.

This weekend, 18 people stepped forward and took on that challenge.

Saturday was about grinding the body down.

Hours of running, crawling, lunging, burpees, push ups, squats and movement. Fatigue started to build. Legs got heavier. Recovery got harder. The body started asking questions.

Then came Sunday.

Sunday wasn’t really about fitness anymore.

Sunday was about mentality.

It was about what happens when you’re already tired, already sore, already beaten up from the day before, and you’re asked to keep going anyway.

That’s where the real challenge began.

What stood out to me most wasn’t the workouts.

It was the people.

Watching people encourage each other when they were struggling.

Watching people refuse to quit.

Watching people find another gear when they were convinced there wasn’t one left.

The Reckoning has never been about finding the fittest person in the room.

It’s about finding out who you are when things get hard.

Every single person who took part faced moments where they could have stopped.

Every single person had reasons to make things easier.

But they kept showing up.

They kept moving.

They kept fighting.

As a coach and organiser, I couldn’t be prouder.

Not just of what people achieved physically, but of the character they showed throughout the weekend.

To every single person who took part:

Thank you for trusting me.

Thank you for believing in the vision.

Thank you for embracing the challenge.

Most importantly, thank you for proving to yourselves that you’re capable of more than you think.

The Reckoning isn’t about what you did this weekend.

It’s about what you’ll remember about yourself long after the soreness has gone.

You faced the fire.

And you came through it.

The Reckoning returns soon.

While I’m busy delivering The Reckoning, another member of the Lifetime Fitness family was flying the flag elsewhere yesterday.

Yesterday, Stuart and his wife Debbie took part in the Inflatable 5K in Lincoln, proudly representing the incredible Sunflowers Children’s Action Group

Alongside them was the one and only Robert, our Sunflowers’ famous event mascot, and as you can see from the photos, Stuart wasn’t exactly difficult to spot on the course!

We’re proud to have such a close relationship with Sunflowers Children’s Action Group. Several of our events this year are helping to raise both funds and awareness for the amazing work they do supporting children and families across our community.

It’s something that’s very important to us as a business. Fitness can bring people together, but when we can use our events and community to support causes that genuinely make a difference, it means even more.

A huge well done to Stuart and Debbie for getting involved, representing Sunflowers, and spreading a few smiles along the way.

Simply Stronger together. ❤️🖤
