Our sea kayakers made the most of the recent heatwaves by paddling around the coast at Anglesey, stopping off at the scenic brickworks for some lunch.

☀️ Summer sessions 2026 ☀️
This week we return to Alexandra Dock, Grimsby to start our summer sessions. We are offering Kayak and Canoe training for all abilities with progression opportunities to move into Sea Kayaking and Whitewater.
New members are welcomed at £6 per session, ages 8+, with a 3 week trial period to give the sport a go!

🌊 After a short break, our whitewater paddlers were back on the water, padding the Kent, Tryweryn, and Conwy. The wet and windy weather delivered some great levels. 🌊
We are currently taking on new paddlers of all abilities for our regular Tuesday sessions, currently at Cleethorpes Leisure Centre, whether you’re a complete beginner or already have some experience!

Wet and Windy Whitewater
Last weekend our paddlers took a trip to Tees Barrage International White Water Course to build on the skills learnt over our summer dock sessions.
This week, we are heading to back to Cleethorpes Leisure Centre for the start of the winter season. Hopefully we will see a lot of people rolling soon!

Inspired by the duo event at the European Open we had to go and get our own! Not long now until our whitewater paddlers will test this out on some holes! 🌊

GCCC Sea Kayakers – Anglesey Day 2 🚣♀️🌊
Day 2 in Anglesey saw the team paddling 6.76 miles through some stunning scenery.
The big moment? They ended up rescuing divers in distress! All those Tuesday night sessions at Alexandra Dock, Grimsby really paid off.
Great paddling, solid teamwork, and a bit of unexpected action.

Today was the start of our clubs sea kayaking group trip to Anglesey. Calm conditions, clear skies and a few jellyfish made for a great first paddle along the coastline.
