🏆PLAYER OF THE MATCH & PARENTS’ PLAYER OF THE MATCH 🏆

A double award for our very own Betsy 🌟👏

Let's see what Sam and Sarah made of Betsy's performance...

"Betsy was fantastic today, using her pace to cause problems, moving the ball brilliantly and creating opportunities for her teammates. She read the game really well, made some great decisions and was always looking to make things happen ⚡⚽

And to top it all off, she got herself on the scoresheet not once, but TWICE 🔥🥅

A brilliant all-round performance and thoroughly deserved recognition from both the us and the parents 🙌

Well done, Betsy! Keep working hard 🌟💪"

🔵⚫ MATCH DAY REPORT ⚫🔵

Let's have a look at what our Manager Sam said about our victory...

"🌬️ A fresh and windy morning at The Academy Grimsby as we welcomed Marshalls Sports FC for this morning’s fixture 🤝

It wasn’t our prettiest performance for large parts of the game, and at times we looked a little off the mark, but there were still plenty of positives to take away 💪👏

We saw glimpses of the Tilletts U16's we know and love, with some lovely goals, positive attacking moves and some excellent one-touch football to help us play our way across the pitch. When we moved the ball quickly and worked for each other, we showed exactly what we’re capable of 🔥⚽

There were moments when we became a little complacent, and perhaps the number of changes throughout the game didn’t always help us to keep our rhythm ⚖️

There’s plenty of quality in this group, and we know and regularly see what these girls are capable of when we put it all together 🙌✨"

We are so unbelievably proud of you Evie 🙌

⚽️ A Tremendous Effort from our Cleethorpes Town Women and Girls first team yesterday ⚽

Here's Katie's take on the game...

"The ladies made the long journey out to Knaresborough Town Women yesterday with just 10 players available due to injuries and work/personal commitments.

Despite the challenging circumstances, the ladies put in a tremendous shift for the full 90 minutes, at times even playing with just nine players. The final result certainly didn’t reflect the EFFORT, DETERMINATION and some of the BRILLIANT FOOTBALL they produced throughout the game 🙌

With tired legs in the final 15 minutes, a few goals unfortunately slipped in, but that takes nothing away from the incredible commitment shown by every player during the game 👏

🌟 Player of the Match - Evie 🌟

A special mention to 16-year-old Evie, who made her debut yesterday and was absolutely outstanding in midfield. She battled tirelessly against some very experienced and mature opponents and showed incredible composure, determination and ability. WHAT A DEBUT 👏🔥
Evie has come through our junior set up and is currently playing for Cleethorpes Town Tilletts U16 💪

We are extremely proud of every single player yesterday. The ATTITUDE, TEAMWORK and DETERMINATION to keep going right until the final whistle was outstanding.

The result may not have gone our way, but the effort, spirit and character shown by the ladies certainly did 🤜🤛⚽️"

NO REF. NO GAME.

After our assigned referee had to unfortunately pull out of the game this morning and as we were unable to find a replacement we had to postpone the game!
