🏑 RESULTS 🏑

Our L1 squad bounced back in true style this weekend, securing a 4-0 win. Goals from Jones, our powerhouse Taberner, Bradley and the goal machine that is Coutts ensured a very comfortable win. Great work from everyone!

L2 had a thrilling end to end game with Alford during the course of a very hot September morning, with Elsie making her match debut for the senior side, along with the return of Zoe and Maeve to make up a trio of junior players moving into the senior ranks. The girls absolutely showcased how far they’ve come, giving Alford’s seasoned players the absolute run around.

M1 kicked off their cup campaign in a thrilling game against KUH. Going 1-0 down very early in the first half, the lads seemed to lose their structure. However, they got their heads back in the game in the latter part of the match, with a Jones assist on the Tomlinson goal to go 1-1 and a corker of a short corner being scored by Flinders in the dying seconds of the game.

What a weekend folks!

Thank you to our umpires, GHC cheer squad and parents who ferry our awesome youth players to their senior games!

🏑 RESULTS 🏑

A tough weekend for our ladies, with both teams working hard to ensure their opposition didn’t go home with a clean sheet.

Goals from Jones and Tomlinson kept L1 in the game against a tough Driffield side. The squad worked hard throughout the match.

Meanwhile, L2 welcomed three of our up and coming junior players into the senior side, with young player Murdoch creating the assist that led to Styles’ goal and the girls more than holding their own during a tricky match! L2 really have tightened up in the mid, with goalkeeper King and the defence working like trojans to keep the score down.

We go again next weekend, nothing keeps our ladies down for long!

🏑 WEEKEND PREVIEW 🏑

It’s an early road trip for the L1 squad this week as they pop over to play Driffield after securing their first points of the season last weekend in a draw against Lindum.

Then our L2 team finally get to kick of their season against a tough Brigg Hockey Club side in our 1pm home game. It’s sure to be a great match!

Finally, GHC’s fellas miss out on their game due to Lindum conceding, meaning extra training for them!

Huge thanks to our umpires, as always.

Our ladies continue to look fabulous in their Martin Steel Photography sponsored kit this season too!

Wishing all teams good luck and great games this weekend!

🏃‍♀️ ONE WEEK TO GO 🏃‍♀️

The countdown is officially on for our Sticking It to 10K runners!

Litch, Kev and Brods run in GHC kit and Steve, well he’s got the short (corner) end of the (hockey) stick and will be running in full kit!

Four hockey players, three hockey kits, two sore knees and one full GK kit… what could possibly go wrong? 😂

All sponsorship will go towards ensuring GHC can continue to provide hockey opportunities for everyone in our local community, regardless of age, skill or ability.

20th September. 10K. Full hockey kit. Let’s do this! 💪🏑
