Keelby Tournament – 3rd May ⚽️

What a brilliant day for our squad – Zak, Harlow, Noah, Leo, Daniel, Henry, Kian, Toby, Mousa and George 👏

Starting under cloudy skies and finishing in wet, slippery conditions, the boys showed fantastic determination, teamwork and resilience throughout 💪

Game 1 – Win 2-1 vs Grimsby United Eagles
The perfect start!
We looked sharp from the off, with Mousa winning an early corner that Leo whipped in, forcing an own goal for 1-0.

At the back, Harlow made two top saves to keep us level, with Noah and Henry looking solid and composed. In midfield, George worked tirelessly, linking play and battling for everything, while Zak gave us a great outlet with his movement up top.

Going forward, Leo, Mousa and Daniel combined brilliantly, and Daniel took his goal really well to make it 2-1. Toby added energy when called on, helping us keep the pressure high. We were unlucky not to add more – Leo hit the bar and Mousa struck the post!

A confident, energetic team performance to open the day 🔥

Game 2 – Loss 0-1 vs GCW
A tougher test where we had to dig in.
George was excellent in midfield, breaking up play again and again, while Noah stayed strong defensively and Harlow pulled off a great save high to his right.

Leo showed real bravery after taking a knock and came back on, with Toby stepping in well and helping us settle. Zak and Henry worked hard to give us a way forward when we could break.

Despite all the effort, an unlucky goal was the difference, but the team never stopped battling right until the final whistle 💥

Game 3 – Draw 0-0 vs Laceby
This was a proper battle against a strong side.
The whole team dug deep – Harlow made important saves, while Noah and Henry stood firm at the back.

George kept things ticking in midfield, winning the ball and keeping us organised. Kian and Daniel put in key tackles, while Mousa and Zak worked hard to give us an outlet, with Toby supporting well in midfield when introduced.

A tough, resilient performance and a well-earned clean sheet 🧱

Game 4 – Draw 1-1 vs Market Rasen Mustangs
A really lively game with some great football played.
Leo looked dangerous going forward, and Noah’s long passes helped drive us up the pitch.

From a well-worked corner by Daniel, Kian scored his first goal for the team – a brilliant moment and fully deserved 🎉

George continued to work hard in midfield, linking everything together, while Mousa drove forward with purpose. Zak stretched the play well up front, and Toby kept us moving when he came on with good energy and positioning.

Unlucky not to take the win, but a great performance 👏

Game 5 – Draw 0-0 vs Broughton Rovers
Another disciplined and determined display.
Harlow was vocal and organised throughout, while Noah was outstanding defensively and even drove forward when he could.

George battled hard in midfield again, helping us stay competitive, while Daniel put in important blocks and Noah kept things tight.

Mousa was unlucky hitting the post, Kian showed great footwork, and Zak worked tirelessly up top to press and create space, with Henry supporting well. Toby made a real impact when he came on, helping us win corners and keep pressure on.

Another clean sheet and a real team effort ⚽️

👉 After five strong games, the boys earned a 6th match – a fantastic achievement and well deserved!

Game 6 – Loss 0-3 vs GCW Rangers
Up against a strong and physical side, the boys never stopped competing.
Mousa used his pace well, George kept battling in midfield, and Noah and Daniel continued putting in tackles and blocks.

Harlow made some good saves, Henry showed great skill driving forward, and Zak kept working hard to lead the line. Kian and Toby came on and added fresh energy, both getting involved and keeping us pushing.

On a blustery afternoon at Clee Fields, with swirling winds and chilly conditions, our Under 10s produced a determined, hardworking performance full of teamwork, energy and commitment to secure a well-earned 1–0 victory and make it two wins in two weeks! ⚽🔥

Leo was missing for a second consecutive week — we hope to see you back very soon! 💙

The boys were warmed up and ready to go:
Harlow, Shekhinah, Noah, Henry, George, Kian, Mousa, Zak, Daniel and Toby – all prepared to play their part.

🔵 First Half

We began with Harlow in goal, protected by Daniel and Noah at the back. George started in midfield, helping to link play, while Toby took up position on the right, Kian on the left, and Zak led the attack up front. Henry, Shekhinah and Mousa were ready to make their impact from the bench.

The Titans started brightly and forced an early corner, but Harlow reacted superbly, making a strong save and pushing the ball away confidently. 🧤

As the boys settled, some lovely link-up play started to appear. Toby and Kian worked well down the flanks, while George battled hard in midfield to keep things moving forward.

The opposition threatened briefly but shot wide, and Kian showed great strength with a determined shoulder challenge before Zak tried to power his way through the defence.

At the back Daniel looked calm and composed, while Noah read the game brilliantly, stepping in to stop attacks before they could develop.

Further up the pitch Toby was excellent at finding space for possible goal chances, constantly making himself available and stretching the defence. ⚡

A quick Titans counter attack saw their number 44 fire a shot, but Harlow stood strong again, pushing the ball wide to safety.

Fresh legs arrived as Henry came on for Toby, keeping the tempo high.

The pressure began to build:

⚽ Daniel struck a low effort that the keeper saved well
⚽ Zak battled hard for another chance but saw his effort blocked
⚽ Henry delivered a great cross which Noah controlled nicely before being stopped after a strong challenge

Then came a fantastic passage of play.

George won the ball well in midfield, Kian produced a brilliant dribble and pass, and Zak fired just wide of the post!

Moments later Zak whipped in a dangerous cross, with Daniel and George both getting shots away, but the keeper managed to keep them out.

The breakthrough finally came after all that pressure.

Toby surged forward and delivered a perfect assist to Mousa, who reacted quickly and poked the ball into the net!

⚽🔥 GOAL! 1–0 to our boys!

A deserved lead after some superb teamwork.

The boys kept pushing. Mousa nearly set up Daniel for another, while Toby continued finding clever pockets of space in attack.

A strong move between Henry and Noah created another chance for Mousa, which the keeper saved well.

Just before half-time Mousa controlled a swirling long ball beautifully and slipped Toby through, whose effort was struck well but gathered by the keeper.

⏱ Half-Time: 1–0
A great first half with plenty of attacking intent and solid defending. 👏

🔵 Second Half

Shekhinah entered the game with great energy, immediately winning the ball with a strong tackle that pushed the team forward. 💪

The Titans started the half brightly and had a couple of dangerous moments, but their shot from a corner drifted just over the bar.

There were a few heart-in-mouth moments as Harlow bravely played out from the back, but his confidence helped turn defence into attack with Mousa driving forward.

Throughout the match Toby continued to find fantastic spaces for goal opportunities, always ready for the next attacking move.

A handball gave us a free kick which Henry struck, drifting just wide when it looked like it might fall for a tap-in.

The chances kept coming:

⚽ Toby fired a low shot that forced a corner
⚽ Noah tried his luck from distance, just wide
⚽ Another excellent Toby run won yet another corner

Defensively the boys remained strong. Noah produced some excellent defensive moments, reading danger superbly. 🧠

Fresh legs returned as George and Kian came back on, while Mousa stayed on throughout the entire second half, continuing to lead the attack.

With the wind swirling across the pitch, the boys showed great determination to protect their lead. Zak continued to work hard in the second half as well, battling up front, pressing their defenders and playing his part in keeping the pressure on whenever we pushed forward. 💪⚽

Kian showed great composure, turning sharply before firing a shot that nearly doubled the lead, with Zak just inches away from following it up.

Then George produced another great attacking moment, forcing the keeper into a good save.

The Titans pushed again, but Henry made a fantastic sliding tackle to secure a goal kick.

A great move between Mousa and Kian won another corner, with Henry battling hard to keep the ball alive, though it just wouldn’t quite drop kindly.

The boys were now defending with real determination and teamwork. 💙

A dangerous forward ball from the Titans was expertly controlled by Noah, stopping a potential chance.

📍 Venue: Clee Fields Astro
🌥 Weather: Cloudy, 8°C with a light breeze – great conditions for football!
🆚 Opponents: Cleetown Grey Owls
👨‍⚖️ Referee: Steve

First of all, we’d like to wish Frankie all the very best as he moves on to pastures new. Frankie didn’t play today but has been a valued part of the team and we wish him lots of success and fun in his football journey. Good luck Frankie! ⚽🍀

Today’s squad:
Harlow, Toby, Noah, Mousa, George, Zak, Henry, Kian, Shekhinah and Daniel.

We’re also hoping to welcome Leo back soon – the boys will be glad to see you back! 👋⚽

🟢 1st Quarter

The boys started the game really well and looked sharp from the first whistle.

Our first big attack came when Henry played a fantastic long ball forward, finding Mousa, who struck a brilliant shot into the top corner! 🚀

⚽ GOAL! 1–0 to us!
A cracking finish!

The Grey Owls had tried to build an attack just before that but it came to nothing.

There were some lovely touches from Kian, a great pass from George, and then Noah nearly made it two with a bouncing long-range shot that hit the crossbar! So close! 😲

We won a corner and had some great movement in the box, but just couldn’t quite get a touch on the second delivery.

At the other end Harlow made a strong save, and shortly after the Grey Owls tried a long shot which went just over.

We pushed forward well with Henry, Kian, Mousa and George leading attacks, while others held their shape behind them. Daniel was doing great work on the wing, offering support and width when we attacked.

Noah was also defending strongly throughout the quarter, helping break up attacks and keeping things solid at the back. 💪

Our tactic of one of the central defenders stepping forward to support the attack worked well and gave us extra options.

Another excellent corner from Daniel found Henry, but his slight touch didn’t quite work out. Play continued though with Mousa dribbling well, before Kian fired in a shot that their keeper saved well.

End of the 1st quarter:
We deservedly led 1–0 thanks to Mousa’s fantastic goal from Henry’s assist. 👏

🟡 2nd Quarter

Substitutions:
🔁 Zak on for Mousa
🔁 Shekhinah on for George
🔁 Toby on for Kian

This quarter became a bit scrappier, with both teams battling hard in midfield. But the boys dug in well and kept working for each other 💪

The Grey Owls began to create a few chances.

Harlow got down well again, and the defence cleared the danger. Another long-range effort from them went high and wide.

We created chances too. Noah had a shot which reached Daniel, whose right-footed effort from the wing just went wide.

Soon after, the Grey Owls managed to find the net to make it 1–1.

The boys responded really well though.

Toby showed some excellent dribbling, creating two attacking moves where we were unlucky not to score.

A long ball later found Zak, but the Grey Owls’ defence did well to deal with it.

Half-time score: 1–1

The first quarter belonged to us, and the second was a hard-fought, scrappy battle, but the boys kept going and worked really hard. 👏

🔵 3rd Quarter

Back on the pitch:
George, Kian and Mousa.

The Grey Owls started strongly and forced an early corner, followed by another as they tried to push forward.

The boys had to defend well for a spell, making good tackles, blocks and clearances.

This quarter was also a bit scrappy at times, but the team showed great determination and kept battling.

From a goal kick, Henry and Toby combined well, with Mousa helping move the attack towards Zak, while George had worked hard in the build-up.

Kian was showing great energy down the left, always looking to help the team going forward.

There was a lucky moment for us when a pass back took an awkward bounce and hit the outside of our post before going out for a corner. Sometimes football gives you a little bit of luck! 😅

The boys then produced a great attacking move:

Toby dribbled forward, Kian helped the move along and Mousa found Zak, whose powerful shot was brilliantly saved. Mousa reacted quickly and got to the rebound but just couldn’t quite make it count.

Plenty of effort and chances, but the score stayed the same.

End of the 3rd quarter:
Still 1–1 after another very competitive and scrappy period where the boys dug in brilliantly.

🔴 4th Quarter

Back on the pitch:
Noah, Shekhinah and Daniel.

Both teams pushed hard for a winner.

The Grey Owls had a dangerous attack but Daniel made a fantastic tackle on the wing, and the team worked together to stop the chance.

Kian tried a brave shot from a tight angle which went just wide.

Then came a really busy moment in our box where the ball was bouncing everywhere! 😅 But the boys showed great determination to clear it before launching a counter attack through Mousa, whose shot went just wide.

Soon after Henry returned and had a shot, but it was blocked.

Then came the moment everyone loved…

🚀 NOAH SMASHES ONE INTO THE NET! 🚀

A brilliant powerful finish!

⚽ GOAL! 2–1 to us!

That’s two weeks in a row Noah has scored! 🔥

And once again Henry provided the assist, making it two assists today 👏

The Grey Owls had one last corner but it went straight out, and shortly after the referee blew the final whistle.

🏆 Final Score

Our Team 2 – 1 Cleetown Grey Owls

⚽ Mousa (assist Henry)
⚽ Noah (assist Henry)

Their impact helped the team maintain momentum, keep possession, and support both defence and attack ⚡

By half-time, we were 3–1 up — a deserved lead thanks to the efforts of the starting seven and the clever impact of the substitutes.

⚽️ Second Half – Effort, Spirit & Lessons

The second half tested energy, focus, and resilience. The Lionesses pushed hard, and as fatigue set in, every player contributed, supporting both defence and attack.

Henry and Noah stayed solid in the middle 💪. Harlow made key saves 🧤. Toby, Leo, Zak, and Shekhinah at differing times continued to stretch the pitch and create chances 🌟. We also had Daniel, Frankie, and Mousa keeping the team fresh and dynamic switching and swapping roles when asked⚡. George also came on and added energy in midfield, winning balls and keeping the team organised when replacing Shekhinah.

Despite our efforts, the opposition scored twice to level the game at 3–3. It’s always tough when leading 3–1, but these moments teach the team how to manage a lead and stay strong until the final whistle. 💪

💙 The Big Positives

✅ First-half blitz with three excellent goals ⚽⚽⚽
✅ Noah’s long-range cracker was a highlight! 🚀
✅ Clever use of substitutes with the full squad utilised
✅ Passing, movement, and teamwork much improved
✅ Excellent energy and spirit from first whistle to last 🙌

The lesson is clear: when we’re ahead, can we control the game and see it out? That’s the next step in the team’s growth 📚

A draw after leading can sting, but today’s performance — especially that first-half blitz of goals, responding immediately after the Lionesses’ first attack, Noah’s thunderbolt, and the clever impact of every substitute including Daniel, Frankie, and Mousa — showed what this team is capable of. Every single player made an important contribution. Every single player should be proud 💙⚽

👏 Quick congratulations to the Lionesses too — they played well and kept us on our toes! Great game all round! 👏

We learn. We improve. We go again. 💪🔥
