Great start to our 7s offering with a win in the London International 7s Tournament social competition. Adding some silverware to the pending cabinet. We were there for a good time and ended up at the tournament for a long time too! Thanks to everyone who came down to play and to London wasps for hosting.

Congrats to Nik Wotton our players player of the tournament and Charlie Crawley for winning the commentators player of the tournament. Both had a fantastic day.

Tomorrow the USRFC Alumni team will be taking part in the LIT 7's. Hi Guys and Girls,

For those of you who don’t know who I am, I graduated this year after being chairman of the club 2013-2014, taking over from James Lovell and Adam Lomax-Smith. Since graduating myself and Alex Nixon have taken over James as chairman of the Old Boys and with this have a few projects in mind to help both you graduates and the current students.

One of the things I wanted to bring in as part of this role was an equivalent to Linked-In for the Old Boys. The aim of which is to create a global contact list of USRFC graduates detailing the job, company, and location where everyone is working. This presents many benefits to both yourselves and students currently in university.

1) With many modern companies there is a financial incentive when helping recruit new and experienced hires.

2) Gives you an opportunity to view where everyone else is working and a familiar contact if you were looking to change jobs or even careers.

3) Gives students currently studying a point of contact when looking for grad schemes and a view of where USFRC graduates end up.

With this in mind, I’ve created a google document (attached) asking for some basic information and contact details. Once collated this will be published on the Old Boys group and Students Group opening up opportunities for everyone to get in touch and seek advice.

It only takes 2 minutes to fill in so please spare some time to potentially help everyone in the club.
