18 holes stableford from Yellow tees full handicap
No Muligans or Gimmys, but you may lift and replace within 6 inches if on the fairway
Please pay your green fee if applicable and £10 before Saturday

Prizes for 1st 2nd and 3rd place

We have now had no rain for two months, so the course is cutting up as we might expect. We have therefore decided to create a local rule of preferred lies for now. You may lift and clean the ball on the fairway and replace within 6 inches.

You will also notice we are building Tee boxes on the par 3 holes 2nd and 7th. These will be in use soon to prevent damage to the tees when using irons to hit to the greens

Marshal/Starter Required
If you are passionate about golf and enjoy your time out on the course, come and join our friendly team at Clandon Golf Club. We are looking for a Volunteer Marshall/Starter to work weekends for 2 to 4 hours from 10am. In return you will be entitled to free golf by arrangement.

Would suite job share.

Clandon Golf’s club rules are in place to maintain an enjoyable game of golf for all, and you will be an ambassador communicating and upholding this message.

As a Marshall/Starter you will ensure that all Golfers keep up with the pace of play on the course. Actively encouraging the slower groups to call through the quicker golfers & allowing them to play through where necessary.

Clandon Golf Club operates a pre-book, pre-pay system across all our green fees and our customers includes both Members and Visitors.

All our Golfers will appreciate your confident and friendly presence on the course as a Marshall. Whether it be directing new golfers to the next correct hole, or spotting where golfers are bunching up on the course and taking control and correcting the situation, your keen eye, healthy knowledge and respect for the game of golf, it’s players and our course, will enhance and provide a more enjoyable experience for all.

We are trialling a new sand for the bunkers, China Clay Sand. It has very good binding properties and so we are trying to use a compactor plate to firm the original sand down, then putting 3-4 inches of the new sand and compacting this too. We have 30 Ton of it and hoping to get around 8 bunkers done with this, we have completed 8 & 15, and we will be looking to do the 1st and 2nd next.

Yesterday we surpassed our highest recorded month of rain in the last 5 years, we are currently at 193mm for January and have a couple of days left of the month.

A lovely morning for the Annual Chocolate Santa comp. Three Chocolate Santas were up for grabs and winner was Duncan with NTP and best score netting him two Santas and Alan bagged the third one with the longest drive.
