Our BUCS trials are finally here!! 🎉

Trials will take place on our Sunday competitive session on the 11th and 18th of October 4.30-6.30pm at SSP arena B!

Please arrive at least 5 minutes early so we can get everyone ready to go. 🤾‍♂️

This year, we have 3 BUCS teams, 2 men’s teams and 1 women’s team. Whether you’re an experienced player or newer to competitive dodgeball, we want to see what you can do! 👀 We’ll be observing players across all abilities, through drills, scenarios and games!

You’re more than welcome to come along to both trial sessions if you can! This gives the coaching team more time to see you play- but there’s absolutely no pressure or expectation to attend both. Just come along to whatever suits you best! 🫶

If you are unable to attend but would still like to try out, still complete the form and we will arrange for you to trial another time during a different competitive session!

PLEASE NOTE: Do not worry if you unfortunately don’t make the team, we have loads of non-BUCS competitions so you can still play in various comps!!

This FRIDAY we have our first BAR CRAWL of the year: MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE! 😎

A spy-themed take on our usual Challenges bar crawl, the goal remains the same: to complete different challenges at each bar we visit across Guildford. (DRESS SMART PEOPLE! Suits and ties encouraged!) Challenges and teams will be revealed on the night, and the team that completes the most challenges wins! 🙌

We will be starting the crawl at 7pm on PATS Field on Stag Hill campus 🏃‍♂️‍➡️ Your ticket will include a free drink and drinking challenges throughout the night. Please remember to bring both your normal AND student ID for the bar crawl so you can enter bars throughout the night! 🍻

We will be finishing by Labyrinth just before 11pm, so make sure to buy your club tickets too!

Freshers week is officially over, but here are some of the highlights!!

We kicked things off on Wednesday with SSP Student Takeover, where so many came along and got involved in lots of fun games of dodgeball! 🏐 This was followed by some very brave members of dodgeball tackling the colour run. 🏃‍♀️🫟

On Friday, we met lots of new people at freshers fair and chatted about what we have to offer 🔥

Finally, on Sunday, we had active freshers! It was amazing to see so many people getting involved and having fun 💪

Thank you to everyone who came along, we hope to see lots of you at future sessions and socials! 🎉

OCTOBER schedule! 🎉

Starting the year off strong, we have a mix of sober and drinking socials (plus a bar crawl), as well as a mixed league, uni cup qualifier, and BUCS towards the end of the month 💪

Our usual social and competitive sessions will take place throughout the month. Team trials will take place on the 11th and 18th.
