Get out of your comfort zone!
Comfort zones are the thing holding you back, the reason you’re not achieving what you want to. You need to step outside of that area to really start making a difference in your life.
I’ve used this picture below to show something I did that pushed my boundaries and made me step far far away from where I am comfortable. But if you take the risk, put your mind to it and embrace the unknown. You can do amazing things

We don’t take enough chances in life. One day we are all going to die and why should you look back and think “I wish I did that” we only get one chance in this life so if you are not happy with what you are doing, your job, your daily routine, the just change it? There is nothing stopping you from being happy and taking the chance to make your life the best life!

Just keep asking yourself why.
You can find out a lot of things that you didn’t know yourself when you ask why.
-Are you happy? No
-why? Because I had a bad day at work
-why? Because I don’t like what I’m doing
-why? Because it’s not the job I wanted
-why? Because my dream job is too hard to achieve
-why? Because only a hand full of people have done it.
-why? Because it takes a lot of hard work to get there..
So really the only thing stopping you is hard work. This is the same for anything, from training to everyday life. If something isn’t right, ask why? Keep asking why until you realise why whatever it is isn’t making you happy, then make a change to ensure it does.

Have a daily target!
Basic goal setting is a simple way of staying consistent and to give you that extra bit of motivation. This could be as simple as making sure you burn a certain amount of calories a day, hitting a step target or just being stood up for longer periods of time.
These basic things can help you achieve your goal and push you that bit extra to stay on track 😁

When trying to stay in a caloric deficit, people tend to struggle staying away from the sweet stuff. You don’t have to give up your favourite treats just to lose weight? Just simply substitute your favourite pop, snack or ice cream for a low calorie option then like magic, you stay in a deficit, lose weight and you’re enjoying what you like!

You have to be selfish.
Starting a journey to better yourself, improve your fitness and building an improved lifestyle, you’re going to have to be selfish.
This is simply because you are doing it for yourself. The only person that can change how you look is you, the only person that can put you in a good mood is you. You have all the power to make the decisions you do that can affect any aspect of your life. So why not be that little bit selfish and do this to benefit you..

There is a massive misconception with free weights. If you lift weight you’ll get massive and muscle, this isn’t the case at all. Free weights are a fantastic way of improving core strength, muscle stability and also burning fat!!! If you think the only way to lose pounds is to hit the treadmill then you are very much mistaken as free weights can do just as good if not better job!

Who said “dieting” had to be hard?
Here is an example of a typical day for one of my clients that is currently eating 2700kcals and still LOSING WEIGHT!!! He is fairly active and burns around 3000kcals a day so he can afford to get more food in and not starve himself! “Dieting” isn’t hard when you keep it simple and keep food in that you like😁
