The King of Clubs RC Series finale at the weekend, another fun meeting with exciting racing and great rivalry. Coming from a team win at home in July, it had been a long time coming. Mathematically possible for us to sn**ch the win, but it was just not to be. West London selected a super strong team to take the win on the day, with Aldershot close behind. Sadly we could not have done better than 4th place with any combination of the team drivers we had in attendance, even if we had sn**ched them back from other teams... Congratulations Aldershot on taking the overall win in style, great team choices throughout the series put them in control from round one. When the Westwood boys put their mind to something, there isn't much you can do about it. Thanks to all the Eastbourne drivers that supported any of the rounds travelling the south to race and have fun. Roll on next year.

Thanks everyone that attended our 50/20 anniversary meeting yesterday. So great to hear some of the stories from happy years gone by. Interest now turns to the KoC this Sunday, lets see if we can stop Aldershot in their tracks to victory. Get entered via the BRCA website.

Anniversary Meeting.... Entries are open for the On-Road Anniversary Sunday 12th July, get yourself on the list and pay on the day https://eecc.co.uk/enter-meeting/?id=1757 . Vintage Touring "run what you brung", bring out those cars from back in the day and give them a run, Nostalgic Off Road, we will have a heat or two of off road cars if you fancy running on the tarmac, other classes Touring 17.5, Frontie, M-Chassis and Tamiya. Come along for a day of fun. Now the bad news, 11th July Off Road days has been postponed, new date in August if we can fit it in. Apologies, we want to make it a little more special that we feel we can with the KoC the following week, and we can keep the track laid rather than clear up for parking.

King of Clubs incoming.... We are hosting the next round on July 19th. We know a lot of you stick to Wednesdays, but this will be a good one to have a Sunday Play. Racing tomorrow, 28th June, gate open at 9am, no hot food tomorrow, chef and team sadly have other plans. Will stick the urn on if you need warming up, with other cold drinks and chocolate as normal. See you in the morning.

SAVE THE DATE - More information coming soon, July 11th and 12th you are all invited, old racers, new racers, no longer racers, want to be racers, join us in celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Eastbourne Electric Car Club, and the 20th Anniversary of the on-road track build. Note, we aren't exactly confirmed on the age of the club, but lets celebrate :) Saturday will be Off Road racing on an old school grass track, followed by On-road racing of various classes on the Sunday. Both days supported with probably the best track side food venue.

Racing tomorrow, Easter Sunday. Don’t forget the chefs team are having a bit of family time tomorrow but there will be a reduced lunch service from Sarah. So have some breakfast. Tuck shop tea and coffee as usual.
