Was won by Greetland B today against Elland ca&bc at Sowerby with a 14 points. Having started 8 points behind cos of handicap Nigel Mitchel and Gordon Bradford got them off to a flier with a 21.7 victory, followed by a 21.10 win by Russel Broadbent and Stuart Carrol, Elland did manage a 21.18 victory but it was all over against mark Lufford and Andy balmforth. Long day but entries to comp was great, and a £250 pick up for the winners was worth it. Thank you to Sowerby for allowing there fasciitis at short notice, and to Micky at total active for sponsoring

To all taking part in the total active team pairs on neutral greens tomorrow, due to vandalism of the green at Allan park tonight we won’t be holding the final there at 6pm. I will make a decision on final on the day once I’ve found a green no one has bowled tomorrow, I know u all understand and I will keep u all updated as day goes on

Good evening all. Having spoken to Peter tonight, and John beard, I have decided to step away from competition secretary after tomorrow’s merit at Ludd foot Due to my illness and the constant bickering I’m receiving weekly from a few bowlers who wants things to run there way, it’s not just one person it’s 3 or 4 who know better than rules and feel it’s my fault. I don’t need this nonsance and I certainly won’t take it without being rude and nasty back. I won’t complain to management of these people, cos as I’m stepping down, they are bound to step in and do a better job, so thank you all for your support over the few years, and good luck with who takes over
