2 Little Ducks Ripponden Welcome to 2 Little Ducks. We are Katie and Becky and we are Ofsted registered childminders. We co-childmind together from the same setting.

We are very fortunate to be in the lovely area of Ripponden with a number of parks and walks on our doorstep.

Wishing our leavers the best time at their new schools this week 🥰🎓🏫 We know you will both be amazing!

Last year we were invited to be involved in the little feet project to see how this could work for a childminding setting. The Little Feet project in Calderdale is an early years walking initiative launched by living street to encourage toddlers and children aged 2–5 to walk, wheel, scoot, or cycle to nursery and school.
We were keen to be involved in this and had many ideas how we could adapt this for a childminding setting.
Last year's project focused on Elma who joined us (and still does) on all our walks. Elma even enjoyed a visit home with some of the children for a weekend walk with their families. Each walk we went on we gained a sticker for our chart.
Once our chart was complete all the children were awarded with a certificate.

We have now been invited to re launch little feet - this time we will be focusing on a mini beast theme with strider leading the way on our walks 👣👣
